Tyrone burst out laughing. “Yeah, you’re right.”

“Tyrone, your grandfather’s still in Seaview City, isn’t he? Are you sure you don’t need to spend some time with him these next few days?” Alicia remembered Maddox was still in town.

She couldn’t understand how Tyrone could just leave his grandfather abandoned at a hotel, completely unattended...

“He can take care of himself. Nicole’s with him anyway—he doesn’t need me.” Tyrone snorted, still annoyed about his grandfather’s little stunt coming to Seaview City, all just to hassle Alicia.

“Oh.” Alicia burrowed closer into Tyrone’s arms, feeling a little intimidated by how scary he could be when he was angry.

But, come to think of it, Tyrone had never actually gotten mad at her.

After reading through a few pages of a pregnancy guide, Tyrone switched off the light and wrapped Alicia up in his arms as they drifted off to sleep.

His breathing was slow and steady, his heartbeat strong and reassuring...

Listening to the rhythm of his heart and his breathing, Alicia found herself falling asleep faster than ever.

Nicole paced the room, nervously biting her fingernail. “Sis, if Alicia really is pregnant, Maddox won’t force them to get divorced anymore.”

Jade’s voice was low, simmering with anger. “Useless. You still haven’t gotten rid of that baby?”

“Tyrone barely lets Alicia out of his sight for a second. We haven’t had a single chance,” Nicole replied, her voice tight with frustration.

“It’s fine... Maddox is suspicious by nature. Alicia was with Vincent for four years, remember? I know exactly how to deal with her.” Jade smiled coldly. “I’ll have Vincent step up and claim the baby as his. He’ll say the baby’s his.”

“Will the old man believe it?” Nicole asked anxiously.

“Of course. After what Tyrone went through all those years ago, he’s always been wary of women. The only reason Maddox ever agreed to let him marry and have kids before Nicole came back was because he was worried Tyrone’s issues would mean the Lynch family would never have an heir. For someone who’s avoided women his whole life to suddenly get a woman pregnant? That’s suspicious enough on its own. If Vincent jumps in to claim the kid, Maddox will immediately believe it’s his.”

Jade was completely confident.

There was no way Maddox wouldn’t suspect something.

Tyrone was nearly thirty, and in all that time, he’d never let a woman get close to him. Except for Serena, no woman had ever touched him.
