Rich Radiant and Over Him (Alicia and Vincent) novel Chapter 221

Alicia’s chest tightened.

She’d known Tyrone for years, but it was rare to see him truly angry—this time, though, there was no mistaking it.

Nervous, Alicia squeezed his hand. “Don’t listen to her, she’s not well…”

She tried to coax him back toward the living room, her voice barely above a whisper.

But Tyrone was furious, and there was no hiding it.

Everyone in Harboridge City knew there was one thing you never, ever mentioned to Tyrone: his mother. It was his one untouchable sore spot.

His fingers curled into a fist as he turned to glare at Nicole. “You have a death wish, is that it?”

Nicole flinched, stumbling a step backward, genuinely startled by the venom in his voice.

She hadn’t meant to go that far—she was just lashing out in the heat of the moment.

Back when she’d lived with the White family, she’d overheard Jade and Brandon mention the real reason Tyrone couldn’t break off the engagement. She didn’t know all the details, but she understood enough: it was tied to his mother’s death.

Jade had warned her, more than once—never bring up Tyrone’s mother in front of him. The consequences would be dire.

“Tyrone… I—I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it like that…” Nicole stammered, her eyes brimming with tears.

What now?

He looked ready to kill her.

But then, as if remembering who she was, Nicole straightened her shoulders. She was Ms. White, Reginald’s granddaughter. She didn’t believe for a second that Tyrone would actually dare to hurt her.

“Tyrone…” Alicia’s voice trembled; even she was frightened by the look in his eyes. He seemed dangerous—like he might actually do something to Nicole.

Just then, a sleek black sedan pulled up outside. The door opened, and the person who stepped out drew everyone’s attention, distracting Tyrone for a moment.
