Rich Radiant and Over Him (Alicia and Vincent) novel Chapter 232

Harboridge City.

As soon as Tyrone stepped through the door, his grandfather summoned him to the study, his expression grave.

“Your father—” the old man began, but Tyrone just turned on his heel and headed for the door.

His grandfather was caught off guard. “Stop right there.”

Tyrone’s face was unreadable, his tone cool and detached. “I’m supposed to be on my honeymoon with your granddaughter-in-law. You really called me back for something this trivial?”

He slouched into a chair, picking up the solid gold horse figurine on the desk, spinning it idly between his fingers.

Grandfather snatched it back, half-afraid Tyrone would lose his temper and smash it if he got irritated.

“Your father called me yesterday,” he tried again.

Tyrone didn’t respond.

“He might be in trouble… After all these years, he’s still your father,” the old man said, emotion creeping into his voice.

Age softens the hardest hearts. The years had changed him—he wasn’t as rigid as he used to be. And Marcus, after all this time away, had finally reached out. The old anger had faded.

“I get it. You’re worried about your son,” Tyrone replied, not blaming his grandfather. He drummed his fingers slowly on the armrest. “But everything the Lynch family has now, I earned it. If you’re thinking of using my money to help him—it’s not happening.”

His grandfather frowned. “That sounds awfully cold.”

He had more than enough of his own savings to support Marcus anyway.

“When he drove that woman mad and abandoned everything—made a big show of leaving with nothing, refusing even a penny of the family fortune—did he ever think this day would come?” Tyrone let out a cold laugh. He had nothing but contempt for Marcus.

After a moment’s silence, Tyrone stood up. “Grandpa, I’m more successful than he ever was. If I decide to leave the Lynch family, you can be sure I’ll never come crawling back, begging for scraps.”
