Rich Radiant and Over Him (Alicia and Vincent) novel Chapter 240

Tyrone’s House

At Alicia’s insistence, Tyrone finally dropped the charges.

Word was, Melanie still refused to leave the police station—even after the officers told her she could go, she just sat there.

In the end, Chester had to drive her home.

But Tyrone wouldn’t let her inside. Melanie crouched just outside the gate of the villa, unmoving, her back pressed against the stone pillar.

She’d been there for hours and hadn’t budged an inch.

Alicia didn’t go out to see her either. Truth be told, she wasn’t ready to face Melanie yet.

Dropping the case was already the biggest concession she could make.

Still, Melanie wouldn’t leave. She didn’t eat, didn’t speak—just waited out there, as if determined to see Alicia and Tyrone come out.

“What are you looking at?” Tyrone emerged from his study after a conference call and found Alicia standing at the second-floor window, staring outside with a worried look.

“It’s Melanie… She’s been out there for ages. She probably hasn’t eaten anything since last night. Shouldn’t you… maybe go talk to her?” Alicia asked quietly.

“Leave her be.” Tyrone frowned, walking over to check the bruises on Alicia’s arm. “Does it still hurt?”

Alicia shook her head. “It healed ages ago. Just a scratch.”

“What about your stomach?” Tyrone gently pulled her into his arms, his voice full of guilt.

These past days, he’d been blaming himself for not protecting her better.

“It doesn’t hurt anymore,” Alicia said, shaking her head again.

Tyrone rested his forehead on her shoulder. “I should’ve kept you safe.”

Alicia quickly shook her head. “It’s not your fault.”
