“Miss Mina Holloway, Crystal Waters doesn’t belong to your family anymore, does it? Aren’t you afraid this will blow up in your face?” Alicia slammed her fork down on the table, coming to Tyrone’s defense.
Mina froze, her expression shifting. How did Alicia know about that?
Back when the Holloways handed Crystal Waters over to Evercrest Group, they’d made a deal: for the sake of the Holloway family’s reputation, news of the transfer would stay under wraps for the time being.
“Alicia, you have no idea what you’re talking about,” Mina said through gritted teeth, clinging to her denial.
“Is it nonsense? If anyone knows the truth, shouldn’t it be the Holloway family?” A deep male voice sounded from the doorway as a man strode in with Winnie at his side.
Winnie shot Alicia a pointed look. “That’s the CEO of Evercrest Group!”
Alicia’s eyes widened in surprise. The man glanced at Tyrone, and for a moment looked like he might offer a polite greeting, but Tyrone’s cold, unreadable face made him think better of it. Instead, he quickly spoke up. “Crystal Waters has been restructured. Why are these people still allowed to cause a scene and disturb our guests? Don’t you know Mr. Lynch is my honored guest?”
The man turned and barked orders at the club manager, a hint of panic in his voice.
The manager, visibly rattled, nodded repeatedly. “I’ll have them leave right away.”
Mina’s face turned ashen when she saw the man. “Mr. Lockwood… What are you doing here? You only know that Tyrone is about to lose his position as president of Lynch Corporation. Once he’s cast out of the Lynch family, he’ll be a nobody.”
She clenched her jaw, unable to believe that Evercrest Group’s CEO was here today.
Currently, Kenney Lockwood was the public face of Evercrest Group—a man with no impressive family pedigree, but formidable in his own right. Both the Holloways and the Lawsons had tried for years to uncover who really controlled Evercrest Group, but they’d always hit a wall. And as for Shawn Lockwood, his lips were sealed; no matter how people tried to pry, he never gave up the identity of the true power behind the company.
