Rich Radiant and Over Him (Alicia and Vincent) novel Chapter 282

“Give me a reason.” Tyrone’s voice was low and charged with irritation; the tension in the car was palpable.

Alicia could feel it in her bones.

But she really couldn’t fathom what Tyrone was thinking. If he didn’t want a divorce, then why? Did he… like her?

A nervous flutter filled her chest. She lowered her head, silent for a long time before finally whispering, “Your grandfather wants to hand Lynch Corporation over to Easton. Once Easton’s birthday passes next year, he’ll be of legal marrying age. It’s not far off… If we divorce now, you can marry Nicole, and that’ll put an end to your grandfather’s plans…”

Her hands clenched together in her lap as she hurried through the words, anxiety etched in every syllable.

Tyrone’s brow furrowed. He just stared at Alicia, dark eyes unreadable, saying nothing.

Unsure, Alicia tried again. “I heard… if you marry Nicole, you’ll inherit the White family fortune, too. Reginald wants you to have their business as well.”

Tyrone’s gaze never wavered, his voice deep and steady. “And what about you? If we divorce, what will you do?”

Alicia’s eyes brimmed with red. She was the one who’d brought up divorce, and yet, somehow, it was her heart that ached first.

Was he agreeing?

“I… I’ll just go back to school. And then…” Then what? Come back to Lynch Corporation and help him?

The more she spoke, the harder it became to continue, her chest tightening with each word.

The thought of leaving—of truly parting ways—hurt more than she could bear.

“Then marry Vincent?” Tyrone’s low voice was heavy with accusation.

The driver, sensing the storm in the back seat, drove with exaggerated caution, as if afraid to draw attention.

Alicia froze, looking up at Tyrone in shock. “No… No, I wouldn’t…”

She would never marry Vincent.

But clearly, Tyrone had misunderstood.

“Vincent told reporters at the launch today that his engagement to the Holloway family is off. Isn’t that why you want a divorce? So you can marry him?” Tyrone cut her off, his tone dark and cold.

Alicia had no idea what Vincent had said at the press conference.

She hadn’t spoken to Vincent in ages.

All she’d ever wanted was for Tyrone not to lose the Lynch family inheritance because of her.
