Lawson & Co.
Early the next morning, Vincent arrived with his attorney, fully intending to head to the police station.
"Mr. Lawson, the Lynch family's legal team… they're personally representing Alicia. This time… things aren't looking good for Young Master Henry. The other side has brought in Harboridge City's top lawyers… and, well, the case against Henry is solid. He's even been caught with illegal substances, so with multiple charges stacked up, he'll almost certainly end up behind bars."
Vincent's assistant rushed over, anxiety written all over his face as he looked at Vincent.
Vincent's expression darkened. Why was Tyrone going out of his way to help Alicia?
"And then there's Miss Mina Holloway. The security footage and the people watching Alicia's livestream all heard it… It was Mina who ordered Alicia to be detained, and it was also Miss Holloway who instructed her people to hold Alicia illegally. I'm afraid Miss Holloway won't be able to escape responsibility either…" The assistant hesitated, clearly torn.
Vincent took a deep breath, then called Tyrone.
The Lynch and Lawson families had always stayed out of each other's business—so why was the Lynch family suddenly making things so difficult over someone like Alicia? This couldn't just be about her.
Tyrone was shrewd, never one to play by the rules, and slippery enough to avoid getting caught. For him to suddenly take such an interest in Alicia, pulling strings to assemble a legal team for a mere assistant… Come on. Who would believe he wasn't up to something?
The phone rang for a long time before Tyrone finally picked up.
"Mr. Lynch, still in Seaview?" Vincent asked politely.
"Yeah, got caught up with a few things. I'll be in town a bit longer," Tyrone replied, keeping his tone friendly.
"I heard you had your legal team take care of a little dispute involving my assistant?" Vincent probed.
"Dispute? Not quite. I had them handle a criminal case," Tyrone responded coolly.
Vincent's jaw clenched. "Mr. Lynch, we're all friends here. There's no need to stir up trouble for everyone's sake over one young woman, right?"
"Gratitude is important, Mr. Lawson. The girl cheered up my grandfather, and that's no small thing. It was my grandfather who asked the lawyers to step in—I don't really have a say in the matter," Tyrone replied smoothly, playing the old fox. He knew exactly how to keep things at arm's length.
