Not long after, Cecilia showed up, bringing along a group of spoiled rich kids.
Ever since Henry had gotten himself arrested, these were the same crowd who used to hang around him—his partners-in-crime, the ones who'd bullied Alicia years ago. Every single one of them had been involved.
None of these trust fund brats were particularly competent, which meant they'd never made it anywhere near the big leagues; they didn't even recognize Tyrone.
Cecilia didn't recognize him either.
After all, Tyrone was the kind of Harboridge tycoon who kept a low profile in Seaview City; not many people here actually knew who he was.
"Alicia, you're getting pretty cocky these days. Think finding yourself a man suddenly makes you untouchable?" One of the rich kids with Cecilia revved his sports car and sped straight onto the food street, tires screeching as they nearly mowed down a vendor's stand.
Cars weren't even allowed on this street.
The fact that they could just drive in like that said everything about who they were.
A crowd quickly gathered, people abandoning half-finished meals to watch the scene unfold.
"Seriously, do you have any idea who we are? Messing with us in Seaview City? You must be blind—or maybe just stupid. What a waste of a handsome face." Lily, suddenly emboldened, stepped up behind Cecilia with her arms crossed.
"Sis, he tried to take the video of the old bullying incident from me. Even called the cops." Lily gave an indignant snort.
Cecilia narrowed her eyes at Tyrone. "Listen, pretty boy. A word of advice: don't make enemies you can't handle. Since you're easy on the eyes, here's the deal—delete the video, have a drink with us, and we'll call it even."
Alicia was stunned. Cecilia really was clueless—did she seriously just try to hit on Tyrone?
"Cecilia, get your filthy hands off him." Alicia shot to her feet, stepping protectively in front of Tyrone. She couldn't believe Cecilia had the nerve to try flirting with him.
Cecilia just laughed, her lips curling into a mocking smile. She raised her hand, aiming to slap Alicia, but Alicia caught her wrist, twisted it, and slapped her right back.
Alicia's breath came fast and shallow; she clenched her fists, feeling a boldness she'd never felt before—maybe because Tyrone was standing right behind her. For the first time in years, she didn't feel alone.
Tyrone watched her, a faint, proud smile tugging at his mouth.
Cecilia, stunned, clutched her cheek. "You hit me?"
One of the swaggering men at her side scowled and stepped forward, swinging his leg to kick Alicia. "You must have a death wish—"
