Franklin stared at Vincent in disbelief. "You've always been the hopeless romantic in our crowd, and now you're telling me you don't want to get married? After all these years waiting for Mina…"

Just like that, you're saying you don't love her anymore?

Vincent massaged his temples, looking worn out. "I think I'm losing my mind too…"

He'd felt unhinged ever since he found out Alicia was marrying Tyrone.

Franklin eyed him suspiciously. "Don't tell me you're jealous of Alicia marrying Tyrone? You said it yourself—Tyrone's just using her. Alicia's bound to get divorced sooner or later…"

Even as he said it, Franklin rolled his eyes at himself. "Vincent, don't tell me you've got a thing for married women now? Is that your type—whoever gets married, you fall for them? What are you, Casanova?"

A couple of the guys around them burst out laughing.

"Hey, married women do have their perks," someone joked.

"Enough," Vincent snapped, his patience fraying.

The rest of the group quieted instantly; no one wanted to test Vincent's temper tonight.

Outside the door, Mina hesitated but didn't go in. Instead, she turned and walked away.

She wasn't about to give up just because of something Vincent had said. Now, more than ever, she needed to marry Vincent, and quickly. She couldn't let his feelings for Alicia grow any deeper.

Alicia. She'd really underestimated her.

When Alicia got home, she found the living room overflowing with gifts.

"Ma'am, these are all from Mr. Lynch," Wilma, the housekeeper, said with a grin. "He picked out all the clothes himself, too."

She sounded genuinely delighted. "He really does spoil you."

Alicia blinked in surprise. Tyrone was sending her gifts again?

"If there's anything you don't like, I can arrange for it to be returned. Otherwise, I'll organize everything in the closet and jewelry case," Wilma offered cheerfully.

Alicia stepped over to the couch, stunned by the sea of designer bags and sparkling jewelry boxes filling the room.
