Was his grandfather someone behind Mr. Gabriel, or was he merely collaborating with Mr. Gabriel?
James was slightly confused.
“James, I think you can make your move now,” the King said while looking at James.
After regaining his composure, James said while nodding, “I intend to do so. What rank is Mr. Gabriel's strength at?”
“I’m not sure. Mr. Gabriel has always been shrouded in mystery. He rarely shows his face and has never fought an outsider before. According to our intel, his strength is at least at the sixth rank, but it’s unclear what kind of martial arts he’s learned.”
The King said while shaking his head.
“Your intelligence network spans the entire globe. Did you find any information regarding my grandfather’s whereabouts over the years?” inquired James.
His grandfather was still alive. He was certain of it. He was also certain that the incident at Mount Arclens was entirely orchestrated by his grandfather. The goal was to confuse Tobias or to confuse outsiders.
Still, why did his grandfather do that? Why was he hiding in the dark? Was he afraid of someone? He could not be sure about any of that yet.
The King gave James a glance.
Then, he shook his head slightly. “I’ve never found anything. However, there's been a lot of action at the God-King Palace recently. Thea has become a martial artist and the God-King token is in her possession. It can be determined that the owner of the God-King Palace is Thomas. And the incident at Mount Arclens…”
After a brief moment of silence, the King continued, “...Was probably planned by your grandfather, Thomas. He might still be alive right now.”
James was not at all surprised that the King had this information. This was the King of Sol, after all. He was, without a doubt, the person with the most power and wealth in Sol.
