Second Marriage novel Chapter 297

“Really?” Yanis was glad, “Thank you, Mr. Manfred.”

“But…” Manfred stared at Yanis, “If it is this simple, why Charlotte refused my help?”

Yanis was embarrassed, but she could not reveal it. She said, “She thought you have helped her a lot and she had told me about that three hundred thousand. Mr. Manfred, she will remember your help and remind herself she owns you, so she doesn’t want you to help you. I can understand her.

It made sense. Since he gave there hundred thousand to her mother, she seemed not to like to see him. Probably that was the reason.

“I have never thought that she would return that money to me.”

“That is the reason she feels sad.” Yanis stared at Manfred and took a sigh, “I don’t know Charlotte for long, but I know she was simple, stubborn and strong. You should know that. You helped her and she felt guilty about that.”

Manfred looked at Yanis gently, he did not expect that she knew well about Charlotte.

“She is not guilty. She is afraid that she would owe me too much so that she could not pay me back.”

“Yes, I know that. I don’t want to bother you, but I have no one to help me.”

Hearing that, Manfred smiled, “It is my pleasure.”

“That is it. I have to explain to Charlotte.”

“Ok.” Manfred nodded, “I will give you the news soon.”

“Thank you, Mr. Manfred.”

After Yanis left, Manfred tapped the desk with his slender fingers. He was thinking, looking at the two bowls of noodles.

It did not seem right.

He had to check on it and maybe he could get something.

Charlotte took a taxi to H Villa. Soon after she arrived, Rebecca told her that Yanis came to her, “Mrs. Moore, didn’t you go out with Yanis? Why…”

To stop Rebecca from overthinking, Charlotte said, “Perhaps she forgot something, bring her here.”

Rebecca took Yanis to her and then left. It was quiet in the hose. Charlotte had clamed down in her way home. Yanis held her arm, “Charlotte, are you still angry with me? It has been fixed, don’t be angry, ok?”

“It has been fixed?” Charlotte gave a bitter smile, “So, you told him?”

Yanis turned pale on face and explained, “Don’t misunderstand. I made up a story. He doesn’t know it.”

“Are you stupid? No matter how you make up the story, it would not change the result.”

“But…”

“Do you think he is a fool? He will not believe you, he is clever and he could guess what happened.”

Hearing that, Yanis widened her eyes, “I don’t think so. He would not think of that. He is Kennedy’s brother, he would not have that thought.”
