Second Marriage novel Chapter 299

“He hasn't come yet. Sit down, let’s order some food first.”

Yanis beckoned her to sit down and Charlotte had to sit down. She took a look at the time and it was half past six, one and a half hours before 8 o’clock. She thought there was enough time.

Yanis couldn't help but ask, “Are you in a hurry? Is there anything else you need to do?”

Charlotte told Yanis what happened.

“Why didn't you tell me? If I know, you can go ahead, and I'll do it.”

“I am here now. There's no use talking about it now.”

“Why don't you go change your dress now and head straight back? Otherwise, it would be bad for your relationship.”

“It is ok. I told him I'd make it. The party doesn't begin until eight. I'll dine here with you until seven. So I still have time.”

Hearing that, Yanis felt relieved, “All right, let’s order food first. Mr. Manfred said he will be here in ten minutes and asked us to order first.”

“Ok.” Charlotte nodded and ordered two dishes. She was anxious and now she kept thinking of Kennedy and was not so concerned about this matter.

The words that Kennedy said before she went out made a deep impression on her.

Ten minutes later, Manfred finally got there. He seemed to have dressed up, wearing a white suit with a clean and tidy tie, which attracted many women's eyes.

Then Charlotte and Yanis heard the discussion of the women at the next table.

“Who is this man? He is so handsome.”

“Come on, this kind of high-quality man has a girlfriend already.”

“Which one the two women is his girlfriend?”

“I think it's the younger one, young and beautiful.”

“Stupid, I think that one in blue, they look matched.”

Charlotte, “......”

These gossips even talked about this, if possible, she would like to say none of them were Manfred's girlfriend.

Yanis whispered in her ear, “Don't those people keep their voice down when they were gossiping? We heard it.”

Yes, they had heard it, and Manfred must have heard it, too.

Manfred sat opposite them. He glanced at Yanis and Charlotte, “Sorry, there was a traffic jam on the road, so I am late.”

“It is ok, it is ok.” Yanis smiled and waved her hand. Charlotte was still calm.

The women at the next table began to talk again.

“See, that little girl waved to the man, I said she is his girlfriend.”

“Are you an idiot? The man was looking at the woman in the blue skirt. It is normal to wave hands. If they were in relationship, it has no need to wave hands.”

Charlotte pretended that she had not heard that, she could not control it after all.
