Julia wouldn’t have met Shaw if she hadn’t run on a whim. She should have stayed indoors to avoid him.
She checked her Instagram and saw that poster sharing his buddy’s story again.
“I can’t believe him. In order to have hot pot alone with that girl, he told her that he had invited the whole company. When she asked about the colleagues, he said they refused to go out on such a cold day.”
n the end, he had hot pot alone with her, and even pretended to be drunk so she could take care of him.”
“It’s a pity that he’s too timid.”
The comments below were numerous.
“You must be talking about yourself!”
“I bet you’re too ugly to tell that girl you love her.”
The poster refuted.“My buddy is handsome. It’s just that he is an idiot in love.”
When Julia finished reading the comments, she turned off her phone. She felt that this poster was talking about Ethan.
However, she felt that it was impossible for Ethan to like her.
The next day, Julia found herself wrong. Ethan, who was really afraid that she would forgive Shaw, bought a bouquet of red roses and waited for her downstairs.
He texted: Julia, come down. We need to talk.
Julia went downstairs and saw Ethan in a white suit, holding roses. She’d only seen him in uniform before.
“What are you doing?” Julia asked, dazed.
“It’s for you,” Ethan said, offering the roses.“Julia, listen. I’ve liked you for eight years. I want to be your boyfriend.”
“What?” Julia asked, bewildered. Eight years? Since flight school? Why hadn’t he said it before?
Ethan said, “In the past, you liked Shaw and I didn’t want to ruin that. Now you’re single. I hope I can be a part of your life.”
“This… you… I…” Julia stammered. Eight years, roughly the same time she’d liked Shaw.“Why didn’t you tell me earlier?”
Long–term crush did happen to everyone. If she had fallen in love with him first, would her life be different now?
