I’m asleep one second, and the next, I’m sitting upright to the sound of my bedroom door slamming open.

My head spins and the light coming in from the window makes my eyes burn.

I hiss, grabbing my head and looking at the door. My blood drains from my face when I see Jake standing there with rage in his eyes.

But then I notice how his nostrils flare and how he’s not looking at my face. He’s looking at my chest.
