Oh, she was teasing me. It seemed like she was healing. That was good. Leaving a toxic ex behind was an improvement in the quality of life.
"Why not? Because you two want more intimate time together?"
Queenie squirmed and looked at Andrew, who was sitting opposite us. Andrew met her gaze, and she blushed right away. Then, she barked back, "You talk back now. I shouldn't have helped you yesterday if I knew you were so good at running your mouth."
"Of course, you'd help me." I threw myself into her arms. "The Queenie I know will always come to my defense when I get bullied."
We joked around for a while until Queenie began heaving. She asked me to stay away from her because my weight was suffocating her.
"Alright, stop it now, Luna. Queenie is still sick."
I glared at Andrew. "Look how protective you are now. Don't cross me now or I'll forbid her from seeing you."
Andrew's smile froze as he fled to the kitchen. From time to time, he would peek at Queenie from the door frame like a sneaky kid.
Despite the dusk glow on her face, Queenie still looked rather sickly, albeit much better than before. She seemed to be in good spirits too. There were sparkles in her eyes.
She was quite depressed days ago, and it wasn't just because of Flynn. It was mainly because of her baby. She had to make the difficult decision of aborting or keeping her child. It was a cruel decision.
Alas, life wasn't kind to her. As much as she wanted to keep the child, she gave in to despair and took away the child's right to be born. However, in my eyes, she just spared her child the life of being scorned and damned.
