“No… I mean… kind of,” I told her, my cheeks flushing. “I’m not really sure what’s wrong. I think it’s just a stomach bug. It’s nothing to be too worried about. I think I just need to drink some water or something.”
“Nonsense. I’ll talk to Sampson. I want to take you to the pack hospital.”
My face paled at the mention of a hospital.
“No, that’s not necessary. The doctors of this pack have enough to worry about right now. With the new threat out there and the lives that are at risk, they don’t need to worry about me over a stomach bug.”
Lucy defiantly folded her arms across her chest.
“You can’t go on post with a stomach bug, Judy,” she told me. “You know this, as does Marlo and Sampson.”
I knew she was right, and I hated that she was. I took a deep breath and let my shoulders slump.
“Okay,” I breathed. “But I really don’t want to make a big deal out of this. Maybe they can give me something for the stomach bug, and I’ll be on my way.”
She nodded, holding up her hand.
“I promise,” she assured me. “We’ll be in and out if it’s nothing.”
Not before long, we were standing in front of Sampson and asking him for a short leave so I could go to the hospital. He granted it, agreeing with Lucy.
Of course, he didn’t allow us to just go to the hospital unprotected; a few of his Gammas accompanied us. I was grateful that Lucy was with me the entire time. She refused to let me go through this alone. She could tell I was nervous, and it made me feel better that she was standing by my side.
The nurse walked into the waiting room after what felt like an eternity of us waiting.
“Judy Montague,” the nurse called out.
I stood to my feet, though I felt numb. I could barely feel my legs as I walked through the waiting room and towards the waiting nurse. Her smile widened when she noticed me, and she motioned for me to walk with her.
Lucy stayed closely behind me as we stepped through the doors and down the long hallway. Not before long after, we were stepping into the hospital room.
“Put that gown on and pee in this cup,” The nurse instructed, handing me a cup.
I frowned at it.

Really?! An entire "chapter" about the hair and bathing products in Judy's bathroom?! Ridiculous! Talk about a cash grab (for those on pay sites)....
It's sad that you need to read other books in between these page releases. You could go a week without reading this book and still be in the same spot. I feel like this book is not going to end and it will go on to a second book and drag just as badly....

Bet anything I own the Galvin is going to be gone when she gets back, called back by an emergency. I hope I'm wrong, because it feels like they should *finally* be allowed to be happy because, come ON already. Cannot WAIT for them to find out they're mates!!...
I think Ethan is going to make an appearance again.. the fact that he was mentioned seems foreshadows some sinister plot to probably kidnap Judy and use her and the baby against Gavin in some way. I am really glad it stopped getting constantly mentioned that Gavin is the most powerful Lycan Chairman every other chapter. I like this story and I hope it gets better ❤️...

Kinda glad I reached the end of the completed work. This is PAINFUL to read. Nobody with an ounce of self respect is dealing with Gavin showing her left and right she isn’t anything to him....
Well Gavin isn't going to let her stay in another pack especially one of his enemies packs. And Judy oh my goodness stop acting like a child put on your big girl panties and COMMUNICATE. You'd think the two of them would have realized by now that all these problems they are having is because they keep running away instead of communicating. Time to get them back together and working as a strong solid unit so they can take down their enemies not continue to collect them....
Why is she confused? Gosh… he confessed the misunderstanding AND is asking her not to push him away because he wants to be part of their lives!! Judy is disappointing me… 😒...
