SEDUCING MY STEPBROTHER novel Chapter 2

Chapter 2

JESSE

"Are you sure you going to be okay?" Mom asked for the umpteenth time.

"I told you, mom, you don't have to worry. I will be perfectly fine, all you have to do is to go meet your husband and enjoy your holiday " I assured her

"I'm going to miss you, my baby," she cooed.

I almost gagged at her behaviour, she loves fawning over me like I am still a baby.

"I know mom, you can stop gushing now," I rolled my eyes at her behaviour.

"Are you sure everything is packed? Wait let me check," she moved to my bed and tried to unzip the bag just to check if everything is packed and ready to go.

"Mom! Stop it, I’m not a baby anymore," I shrieked, I hate it when she does that. She makes it seem like I can do anything on my own.

"You are my baby," she smiled, trying to get to the bag once more.

"I am not your baby anymore mother, I am an adult," I wanted to yell but I restrain myself.

"Even if you are grey-headed, as long as I am still alive, you will always be my baby," she smiled at me, and I threw my hands in the air.

"Fine, can we go now?" I asked, gesturing to the door and wanting to end this drama quickly.

"Look who's excited," she giggled, before pulling my bag off the bed and walking out.

Excited huh? It is the opposite.

I'm nervous even though this isn't my first time seeing my stepbrother, I remember when I first saw him. That was when his father proposed marriage to my mom.

We were introduced to each other and I tried to strike up a conversation but he ignored me. He acted like I wasn't sitting beside him, trying to make small talk and it was the most embarrassing moment of my life.

Even though we had once lived together for a month after the wedding, which was a month of silence on his part. He was nice to mom, he talked to her like they were lost friends, but when it comes to me, he just ignore my attempt to have a conversation.

He just woke up one day, and decided he couldn't live with us anymore, he was gone before I even woke up the next day, and that was years ago.

I got in the passenger seat of mom's car and buckled my seatbelt.

"Ready," mom asked.

"I think so," I tried to keep away the nervousness from my voice.

She turn on the ignition and drove out of the driveway, I lean my head on the window trying to imagine what he would look like now, the last time I saw him he was almost 6ft. He has dark hair that he loves to style sideways, striking blue eyes, lean body with a carved to-die-for face.

How could I forget those full pink lips, even though sometimes I wonder how men are blessed with sinful lips?
