Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 3280

Sure enough, talent and passion were very important. Austin’s business was sure to do well since he ventured into the food and beverage industry. Fortunately, his business was thousands of miles away in Wiltspoon and could not affect the O'Connors's business. Otherwise, the food and beverage businesses they operated would suffer a complete defeat at the hands of such a formidable competitor.

“It’s harder to lose weight than it is to gain it, you know.” Isabella glanced at the time and seeing that it was lunchtime, she turned off her computer. “You’re becoming more of a foodie now,” she remarked.

“So what if I can eat the best food in the world every day? Everyone has to eat. Is there anyone who doesn’t like eating? Only a person who doesn’t eat and drink is weird,” Tati retorted before glancing at the time too.

“Dominic and Austin must be arriving soon.”

Isabella never went home for lunch as it was too much of a rush. Sometimes, she would have lunch at a five-star hotel they owned called Avalon Hotel. With a foodie like Isabella as the boss, Avalon Hotel had particularly strict standards when it came to the food, but even then, Isabella could not stomach it every day.

She could barely get by with the food they served only because one of the chefs there used to work for her and knew just how picky she was. Every time she wanted to eat there, her secretary would warn the hotel to prepare three hours in advance. She did not need a seven-course meal of delicacies. It was enough if she could stomach just two or three dishes.

When the hotel was notified, they would make the one chef who used to work for the O’Connors cook for Isabella. In private, he once said that every time he received such a notification, his scalp would go numb with terror and he would only be able to relax once she had eaten and left. It was the same for the hotel management.

Once the O’Connors hired a new personal chef, Dominic himself would deliver food to Isabella most of the time, to save commute time and lessen the pressure on the hotel.
