Seven Days Seven Nights (Nicholas and Nancy) novel Chapter 37

Chapter 37 Go Through Divorce Procedures

After Nancy finished speaking, she looked at him with big eyes.

She didn’t lie. She really wanted him to send her home.

Nicholas seemed a little surprised but soon returned to normal. He stretched out his hand to caress her hair. He softly spoke as if coaxing a child, “Don’t be stubborn. I’ll be home to accompany you at night.”

“Okay.” Nancy nodded. “Then, let Lynn send me home.”

She didn’t ask any more questions or argue.

She was so well-behaved that she didn’t say a word of resistance.

Lynn quickly sent Nancy home but didn’t know that Nancy didn’t even go in. As soon as he left, she took a ride and left.

Nancy went to “Encounter”.

Encounter is a bar owned by Luke Foster. She and Nicholas had been there twice before.

It’s huge inside. The layout and decoration were in the style she liked. More importantly, it’s very quiet, less noisy than the regular bar.

People often performed on the stage, accompanied by guitar or piano, singing some gentle songs, which she liked.

Nancy found a place closest to the stage and sat there. Her gentle face was immersed in the soft light, her chin resting on one hand, listening to the music quietly.

She didn’t know what she wanted to do. She just didn’t want to go home.

She is not a canary, so why should she obey him obediently?

Why should she return to the cage obediently if he let her go home?

After drinking two cups of hot water, Nancy lay on the table, sleepy and tired.

She fell asleep immediately after lying down. Perhaps it was too quiet, or she was too tired.

When Nicholas returned home, he found the house utterly dark, without a single light.

He turned on the light in the living room and searched around but couldn’t find Nancy.

Finally, he made a phone call with a frown.

He heard, “The phone you dialed has been turned off. Please call again later.”

He immediately called Lynn, “You’d better give me an explanation. Where is Nancy?”

“Mr. Sallow, isn’t the Mrs. Sallow at home? I took her home myself.”

“I searched the whole house, inside and outside. There was not even a single person here.” Nicholas’ tone was almost filled with anger.

“Mr. Sallow, don’t worry. I’ll ask someone to find her right away.”

Nancy didn’t remember how long she lay on the table until someone pushed her and woke her

She opened her sleepy eyes and looked at the person in front of her sleepily. “Ah? What’s going on?”

“Sorry, Miss. Our store is closed.”

“Closed?” Nancy looked at him doubtfully. “I remember Luke said this store is open 24 hours.”

He reacted quickly and immediately said, “Yes, that’s right. Miss, please continue your sleep. Call me anytime if you need something

Their store used to be open 24 hours, but it changed recently.

She knew their store so well. She knew the owner was Mr. Foster and even called him by his first name. She’s definitely not an average customer.

Thinking of this, he immediately called Luke, “Mr. Foster, there’s your friend in the store. She seems to be in a terrible condition. Would you like to come over?”

“My friend?” Luke wondered.

Very few people go to that bar. His friends were all going to a regular bar. Why would someone go

there?

“Send me a photo.”

“Okay, Mr. Foster. Please wait a moment.”

When Luke received the photo on WhatsApp, his eyes widened immediately. He was in disbelief.

Fortunately, he was nearby, only ten minutes away.

When he was sure that the person lying on the table was Nancy, he immediately called Nicholas, “Your wife at my bar?”

“What?” Nicholas also looked in disbelief.

“Not the normal bar. She’s at Encounter.”

“Watch her. I’ll be right over.”

When Nicholas arrived, Nancy was still sleeping on the table. She seemed to be in a deep sleep.

Luke was sitting on the other side of the table. When he saw Nicholas coming, he walked up directly. “Let’s talk.”

“No time, next time. Nicholas refused him directly.

He walked up to Nancy, bent down, and carried her in his arms.

Nancy was in a deep sleep and suddenly felt warmth. She didn’t open her eyes, only moved her body slightly, and quickly found a comfortable position in Nicholas’ arms.

It was already cold when they left because it was late at night.

The wind was blowing chilly.

Nicholas took off his coat and put it on Nancy.

When they got home, it was already dawn.

Nicholas put Nancy on the bed, but she acted like a baby. She hugged him tightly and didn’t let go of his neck.

“Nicholas.”

“Huh?” He responded immediately, thinking that Nancy was calling him.

“Nicholas, you bastard. You when you see that woman.”

“Bastard, why do you want a divorce?”

“You know what? Actually, I don’t want to…

Nancy fell asleep again before she finished her words.

Only then did Nicholas remove her arm and put her on the bed.

Nancy rolled over to the side after touching the soft big bed.

It let Nicholas see the wound on her car at a glance. Although the scab had formed, the red blood stain on the scar was still visible at a glance.

She was obviously wearing earrings a few days ago. Her earlobes were fair, small, and cute.

When did she get hurt?

How come he didn’t know?

After applying some medicine to her ears, Nicholas lay beside her after bathing.

When Nancy got up the next day, he saw Nicholas beside her.

She was confused for a long time.
