Love Story 8-Chapter 1
"Your cure for this disease, ah, it is estimated that it will cost big hundreds of thousands of dollars, I know, for your family, it is a small burden."
With a sympathetic expression on his face, the doctor handed over my lab sheet, as if he had already pronounced my death sentence.
But I was inwardly bursting with ecstasy.
Hundreds of thousands?
Just a few hundred thousand?
Over the years, Ethan Hunter and I had saved at least two to three million dollars, enough to cure me!
Ecstaticly I looked at Ethan, but I didn't expect him to have a furious look on his face as he stood up with a prancing gesture and slapped the lab sheet in front of the doctor.
"After I pay this money, can you guarantee a cure?"
The doctor naturally had no way to make such a guarantee, and could only politely remind him that I could have a good chance of survival if he did it, and if not there was only a dead end for me.
