Chapter 259
“I’m heading back with you to drop Granny off,” Remington chimed in, as if he caught on to Lizetta’s confusion and decided to clear it up.
Lizetta frowned, “You better stay here and take care of Ms. Hawthome”
“Look at you, playing the generous card,” Remington snorted.
Lizetta thought he was off his rocker, couldn’t be bothered with him, and flipped him an elegant eye roll before turning away.
Fiona, or ine other hand, turned to Remington and gave it to him straight.
“Scram! Can’t you see Liz can’t stand you?”
Remington, with one hand in his pocket, sidestepped to open the elevator for them and said, “Well, Granny, you can stand me, so that’s something.”
Fiona let out a laugh, “I can’t stand you! I don’t have a cheating scumbag of a grandson! I want to live a couple more years, and seeing you just gets my blood boiling, shortening my life. Get lost, I don’t need your help!”
Fiona almost swung her cane again.
Yet, despite their clear disdain, Remington acted like he didn’t notice a thing and stepped into the elevator with them.
As the elevator slowly descended, Remington turned his head towards Lizetta and said, “Hand me a tissue.”
Lizetta didn’t budge; she knew Remington was a germaphobe and had just touched the elevator buttons, so he was definitely looking to clean his hands.
Not wiping them would drive him nuts.
But that’s his problem, not hers.
Lizetta pretended not to hear, even shifted closer to Fiona, giving Remington nothing but the back of her perfectly rounded head.
Remington’s lips pursed slightly, and he let out a chuckle.
She’s really got a temper now.
He moved a little, nudging Lizetta with his elbow. Lizetta was so done with him, she shifted again, not even glancing in Remington’s direction with the corner of her eye.
She thought this would get him to back off, but to her surprise, he suddenly grabbed her hand.
Before Lizetta could react, he interlocked their fingers, rubbing his palm against hers, his fingertips deliberately grazing the back of her hand.
It was as if he was saying, “If you won’t give me a tissue, we might as well both be dirty.”
Lizetta was about to burst into laughter over his childish antics. She yanked her hand back with irritation, pulled out a wet wipe from her bag, and handed it to him.
“Thanks.”
The moment she pulled out the wipe, he snatched it from above.
Lizetta closed her eyes, trying to control her temper, and took out another one.
Looking at her puffed–up side face, Remington’s thin lips curved slightly.
He wiped his fingers with the tissue, but then he saw Lizetta, with a look of disgust, vigorously wiping the hand he had touched.
Remington’s handsome face turned cold, an icy vibe enveloping him.
Fiona wasn’t blind; she saw all her grandson’s petty actions reflected in the elevator’s mirror.
So damn cringeworthy she couldn’t stand watch.
When it was time to make a good impression, he did nothing, hurt his wife’s feelings, and now his moves were just annoying.
Even though he was her own grandson, she couldn’t bear it.
Fiona pulled Lizetta to her other side, placing herself between them, and let out a weighty hum.

Does evil really triumph always above the good in this novel ? How comes Stella's evilness has no end? Does the author believes that by giving justice and importance to bad people like Stella will make this novel interesring? I am starting to lose my patience and ask when will the writer finally will realize that the protagonist is Lizetta and not Stella....
