Chapter 619 A Mother's Request

"Are you doubting our abilities?" Gene scowled. "You and the baby, we both have to protect."

"I know," Lucia said. Reading Gene's thoughts, and with a faint smile on her lips, she continued,

"That's why I want to ask you to do this. You're the only one of the four who has become a father. You know how I feel about the child. I want everything to go well, but what if... If one day, baby and I are both in danger, and it gets messy, you have to take care of the baby first and leave the rest alone."
