The Secret Pregnancy of the Billionaire’s Ex–Wife
Chapter 186: Christina’s Suicide
Sean POV
The morning air felt unusually crisp as I stepped out of Angela’s building. Despite the previous night’s chaos–the drugging attempt, the fever, and what happened in the bathroom–1 felt oddly at peace
My body was tired, but my mind

clearer than it had been in years.I would find Christina and make her pay for what she tried to
Thomas was already waiting by the car, his punctuality as impeccable as always.
His eyebrows rose slightly when he saw me wearing clothes that clearly weren’t mine, but he quickly schooled his expression.
“Good morning, Mr. Shaw,” he greeted, opening the car door.
I got in without responding, letting my head fall back against the headrest. The events of last night played through my mind- Angela’s reluctance giving way to passion, her body responding to mine despite her protests. We belonged together. I knew it with absolute certainty now.
“Sir,” Thomas ventured after we’d been driving for several minutes, there’s something you should know about what happened last night.”
My eyes remained closed. “What is it?”
“I went to your penthouse looking for you when you didn’t answer your phone. When I couldn’t find you, I began investigating Miss Jordan’s movements.”
This caught my attention. I opened my eyes, turning to face him. “And?”
Thomas adjusted his glasses nervously. “It appears Miss Jordan consumed some of the… substance… she intended for you.”
I sat up straighter. “What?”
“According to my sources, after leaving your apartment, she was seen in a highly agitated state at the Meridi there attempted to assist her, believing she was intoxicated.”
A cold smile curved my lips. “Let me guess–she ended up with him instead of me?”
unge. A bartender
Thomas nodded, clearly uncomfortable. “They were seen entering the Grayson Hotel together. This morning…” he hesitated.
“Go on,” I prompted, my voice flat.
“The bartender contacted her with a video he recorded of their… encounter. He’s demanding she marry him, or he’ll release the
footage.”
A harsh laugh escaped me. “And?”
“She refused, of course, Unfortunately, he’s already released portions of the video to certain individuals. It’s spreading through social circles as we speak. The footage is extremely explicit and sensational which is why it’s being shared so rapidly.”
I absorbed this information with detached amusement. Christina had intended to compromise me, to create exactly this kind of situation between Angela and me. Instead, her own plan had backfired spectacularly.
“The Jordan family is attempting damage control,” Thomas continued, “but they’re finding it difficult. The society circles are… less

than sympathetic to Miss Jordan’s situation.”
I stared out the window at the passing cityscape, feeling nothing but cold satisfaction. “Self–inflicted wounds, Thomas. She chose
this path.”
As we pulled up to Shaw Tower, Thomas cleared his throat. “Mr. Shaw, the situation is quite serious. The video is circulating in private groups. If you had been in Miss Jordan’s place…”
“But I wasn’t,” I cut him off. “Has the spread been contained?”
“It’s difficult to control. The Jordan family is working to handle it, but with limited success. The bartender seems… problematic.”
I couldn’t suppress a cold smirk. “She chose her companion. Now she faces the consequences.”
“Indeed, Mr. Shaw. Miss Jordan appears to have brought this upon herself.”
As we entered the underground parking garage, I maintained my expressionless facade, but internally, I savored the irony. Christina’s desperate attempt to force me into a compromising position had ricocheted back on her with devastating precision.
In the privacy of my car, Thomas continued his report.
“Mr. Shaw, it’s fortunate you didn’t fall victim to Miss Jordan’s scheme last night. The current situation is damaging enough–if you
were involved, any hope of reconciling with Ms. Wilson would be completely destroyed.”
I remained silent, my thoughts drifting back to Angela–how vulnerable she’d looked as she tended to me, she was of our children, how her body still responded to my touch despite her protests.
how fiercely protective
Thomas interpreted my silence as agreement and pressed on. “If I may ask, sir… you went to see Ms. Wilson last night. Did you and
she…?”
“No,” I cut him off sharply. “Don’t speak nonsense that might damage her reputation.”
Thomas’s eyebrows rose in surprise. “It’s just us in this car, sir. Unless someone speaks of it, how could it possibly harm Ms. Wilson’s reputation? You seem extremely protective of her.”
I shot him a cold look. “Should I care about you instead?”
