Chapter 139
This time, Matthew made his decision. The five major cities can live. As for the rest, leave them alone.”
Louis nodded. “I’ll make the arrangements right away.”
Matthew’s intention was clear. Customers in the five major cities Vredo City, Kitmore City, Hupool City, Valemont City, and Dichester, who had sued “Charming Beauty could negotiate with the Murray family. After receiving fair compensation, they would withdraw their lawsuits, retract all accusations, and allow “Charming Beauty” to continue operating in these cities.
However, in the other cities, customers were determined to bring “Charming Beauty” down, ensuring its closure.
With this approach, the Murray family would still suffer significant losses and see their wealth sharply diminished, but at least they’d survive.
This was the way Matthew handled things, ruthless but leaving away out for them.
He wouldn’t take things to such extreme unless there was some serious hatred involved.
As Louis made his call, Matthew
sed over to the floor–to–ceiling windows, leaning slightly against the edge of the desk.
With his arms crossed and his gaze lowered, he stared at the busiling city below.
His fingers lightly tapped against his arm, and no one knew what he was thinking
After Louis finished arranging things for the Murray family, he saw Matthew standing there like a statue. It was obvious that Matthew was mulling over the marriage agreement.
Louis approached, adjusted his glasses, and said quietly, “Just moments ago, Derrick made a rare public appearance at a banquet and confirmed Neil’s claims to be true.
“And Anabel posted a picture on Twitter of the two of you at Neil’s 90th birthday party with the caption, What will we look like when we’re 907
“Shall I release a statement on your behalf, declaring the marriage agreement null and void?”
Matthew looked up, casting a glance at the clock on the wall. Trying to put out a fire at its peak is difficult.
“Let it die down first. The cleanup will be more thorough.
“Besides, Miss Donovan knows this is just wishful thinking on the old men’s part. She doesn’t care, so there’s no rush.”
Louis adjusted his glasses again, understanding perfectly.
That explained why Matthew had seemed ready to revolt when he first heard the news but calmed down after a few moments of tapping away on his phone. It was all thanks to Athena.
Matthew said, “Notify Jaylin to dress up a bit. I’ll pick him up in half an hour for dinner. And arrange for the Aston Martin.”
Louis was startled for a second but then nodded. “Yes, sir.”
Half an hour later, with just a few minutes left until the end of the workday, Matthew descended the building, stepping. through the lobby under the gaze of countless curious employees.
In the executive parking lot, where only vice presidents and above could park, a striking blue Aston Martin was waiting. Even though the employees and passersby of the Graham Group were used to seeing luxury cars, this one still caught their attention. A crowd gathered, and many stopped to snap photos
Matthew slid into the Aston Martin and drove off.

Chapter 139
Reporters stationed nearby immediately jumped into their cars, weaving through the crowd, following closely the Aston
Martin.
The Aston Martin didn’t seem bothered by the attention and drove at a leisurely pace.
About 20 minutes later, it stopped in front of a high–end apartment building
A tall, stunning “woman” waiting at the entrance waved as soon as she saw him, her long hair and red dress fluttering in the breeze.
Matthew got out of the car and personally opened the passenger door for her.
Through the tinted windows, onlookers could just make out Matthew leaning over to fasten her seatbelt, and she took off her mask, seemingly whispering something in his ear, perhaps even kissing him.
The Aston Martin drove away, and the reporters gave chase.
Another 15 minutes passed before the car pulled up outside Cravings, Valemont City’s most famous trendy restaurant. Matthew once again personally opened the door for the tall beauty and escorted her inside with his arm around her waist.
The reporters were buzzing with excitement, snapping pictures and recording videos.

“This is the first time Matthew has be seen with his arm around a woman in public, right? He must really her.”
“That woman must be his rumored girlfriend, but she always wears a mask. We still haven’t seen her face.”

“No worries. They’re here to eat. They’ll have to take off their masks eventually. We can sneak inside or have the staff and customers help. We’ll get a clear shot of her face.”
“The Graham and Powell families just announced their engagement, and now Matthew is openly flaunting his relationship with his rumored girlfriend. Looks like there’s drama brewing with his family!”
Using various tricks, the reporters finally managed to capture a full view of the rumored girlfriend’s face.
They were full of praise. “She’s a real stunner. No wonder Matthew fell for her.”
“Miss Powell is beautiful, but that regal, queenly air of hers isn’t something most men can handle. Even if they can, they probably wouldn’t want to.”
“Exactly! Matthew may not like women who are too obedient, but what man who sees himself as a king would want a queen by his side? Emperors marry queens for power. Their hearts belong to their concubines.”
“She doesn’t look like she’s from a powerful family. Even if Matthew likes her, there’s no way he’ll marry her. Would he keep her as his mistress?”
As these discussions swirled, photos of Matthew and his rumored girlfriend intimately entering and leaving the restaurant spread like wildfire online.
After dinner, Matthew walked out with his arm around the tall beauty, but this time, the bold reporters swarmed them, pointing microphones and cameras in his face.
Matthew, Neil and Derrick have publicly confirmed your engagement to Miss Powell, and there’s talk of an engagement ceremony soon. Will you accept this arrangement?
Who is this young lady to you? Are you two in a relationship?”
