Elsie said, “I haven’t forgotten That’s why I wanted to ask you how they are doing now.”
Someone said, “Not long after you transferred schools, they also transferred schools. Apparently, they became too arrogant and offended the neighborhood hooligans. Someone replied shocked, “You’re an adult now. Why is your mother still so strict?” Everyone laughed. “It’s only ten o’clock, and she’s calling you non-stop. You must be having a tough time”
Elsie smiled bitterly. “Yes, I’m happy to be home and bitter about this.”
The class reunion lasted until the mall closed.
Elsie drank a little too much, but she didn’t let her classmates escort her back home. “My mother will fly into a rage when she sees me drunk like this. You’ll definitely get scolded if you escort me home.”
Hence, no one dared to escort her home but called her a cab instead.

As soon as Elsie entered the complex, she saw her mother waiting at the entrance to the building. When she saw Elsie, she scolded, “Why are you back so late? Why do you smell of alcohol? Did you bump into some hooligans and forced to drink with them?”
Elsie said impatiently, “Didn’t I tell you? It was just a class reunion. I drank a few more glasses than I should have.”
She covered her ears and walked around her mother to get into the elevator. “I’m very sleepy right now. Don’t nag at me. I just want to get some sleep.”
After entering the apartment, Elsie put down her bag and walked into the bathroom to take a shower.
“I called her so many times tonight, but she only replied once,” Kerise muttered unhappily to herself. “Don’t tell me she was drinking with some man.”
At the thought of this, Kerise opened her daughter’s bag, took out her phone, and entered the password.
Athena had changed the password again.
Kerise was furious and felt that her daughter did not trust her. However, she did not want to quarrel with Elsie over such a small matter, so she put the phone back in the bag.
Elsie was tired and sleepy, so half an hour later, she fell asleep on the bed.
Only then did Kerise tiptoe into her room. She picked up Elsie’s phone with one hand and her index finger with the other.

She pressed Elsie’s finger on the phone to unlock it.

The phone finally unlocked and Kerise expertly checked her daughter’s calls, messages, and iMessage. Everything looked quite normal.
It was not until Kerise clicked on her daughter’s Facebook that she saw a post with a few photos of a man. The photos were accompanied by many “sad” and “excited” emojis, along with a single sentence. [Today, I finally met him. He’s still so righteous and handsome. I believe this is my chance to make up for what I did…]
Kerise was angry because this Facebook post was private and set as “only visible to me.”
This meant that the man in the photo was an important person in Elsie’s life.
Kerise mumbled to herself, “You’re only 25 years old. It wasn’t easy for you to transfer from Dichester to WEBC to become the anchor and host of the most popular variety show in the country. You can’t let an incompetent man come between your career.”
She clicked on the photos and studied the man in them.
Then, her pupils suddenly constricted as horror flashed across her eyes. “Zayn?”
“It really is Zayn. I will never forget this face!” Kerise’s voice trembled and her expression was a mixture of anger and fear.
“This man is back, and he’s pestering Elsie again? You’re quite persistent. It’s not enough that you almost destroyed Elsie back then, but now you want to get close to her again. You really don’t know when to quit!”
She couldn’t help but mutter to herself, “He’s wearing a military uniform? Could he be a soldier?
“That’s impossible. How can such a bad guy who had the nerve to stab his classmate in high school become a soldier?”
She zoomed into the photo and observed it. Then, she saw a humanoid sign in the corner and the words “Boundary Strike releasing soon.”
Then, she remembered. “Wasn’t Elsie attending a movie premiere tonight? Was it ‘Boundary Strike?’ Does this mean that Zayn acted in this movie? He does have quite the deceiving look…”
At the thought of this, Kerise frowned angrily and cursed, “How dare you make a move on my daughter! You were the reason my daughter’s grades dropped in high school. She almost couldn’t get into a good university. Now, you want to seduce her!
“I won’t let you have your way…
“It’s so noisy…” Elsie, who was half-asleep, turned over and grumbled unhappily.
