Chapter 385
“Oh, Josie responded. She then said happily, “I’ll let you carry Dolli when you come again.”
At this moment, Brandon’s phone rang. After answering the call for a while, he said to everyone, “The client has some questions. You guys chat with Lindsay. I’ll go to the study to video call the client.”
Just as he left, Josie pointed at the television and shouted, “Look, it’s Luna.”
Everyone’s gaze turned to the television. The television was broadcasting a modern play starring Luna.
Athena admired and said, “Luna’s acting is amazing. Watching her perform is such a pleasure. We should go watch the play she stars in together.”
Lindsay said, “As far as I know, Luna only performs one play a week, and to ensure the best viewing experience, her plays are performed in smaller theaters. Tickets are hard to come by.”
“It’s fine,” Alaric casually waved his hand. “We’re good friends with Luna. She’s close to my eldest brother. We can definitely get a few tickets from her. You should come along, too.”
Josie, holding the cat, Dolli, with one hand and snacks with the other, swung her little legs and said, “Luna comes to our house often. Sometimes she even sleeps over.” Hearing this, Lindsay was stunned.
Alaric’s hands clasped behind his head, leaned back on the sofa, stretching his legs. “The lovely nurse angel, come over and massage your brother’s legs.”
The dome–shaped robot, looking cute, rolled over, extended its big hands, and skillfully massaged his calves. “Sir, may I ask if the pressure is alright?”
Alaric squinted his eyes, looking relaxed, and said, “A little harder. Yes, yes, just like that, perfect.”
Lindsay looked at him, her mouth opened, as if she wanted to say something, but nothing in the end. Instead, she quietly picked up her glass and slowly drank her water.
At this moment, the front door opened. Arthur rushed in holding a large food box in each hand, calling out loudly, “The takeout’s here, it’s still hot, hurry up and eat!”
Then he saw the unfamiliar beautiful woman sitting on the sofa and froze for a moment.
Maria stood up, walked over to take the food boxes from his hands, and happily introduced, “Arthur, this is Brandon’s girlfriend, Lindsay. It’s her first time visiting us today.
“Lindsay, this is Arthur.”
Arthur nodded at Lindsay, “Lindsay, nice to meet you. Brandon is a workaholic, and this is the first time he’s brought a girlfriend home. Seems like he really likes you and is serious about you.”
Lindsay remained seated. She just nodded at him and smiled. “Hello, I hope to be lucky enough to become your sister–in- law.”
She did not hide her feelings and expectations for Brandon, which everyone found quite admirable.
At this moment, Alaric yelled, “I’m starving, hurry up and eat while the food’s still fresh. It won’t taste good if we eat it later.”
It was only a short ride of about 10 minutes or so from the restaurant to the villa, so it was not too late to eat.
Since everyone present was young people and did not feel like eating in the dining room, they just placed the food on the coffee table in the living room.

Chapter 385
Arthur, adopting his usual approach when serving customers at the restaurant, asked, “Lindsay, is there anything else you feel like eating? I’ll go prepare it.”
Lindsay politely replied, “I’d like to have some fresh fruits; do you have any?”
“Sure, please wait a moment, Arthur said, running into the kitchen. Soon, he returned with a fruit platter. “These are fresh fruits I cut this morning. See if you like them.”
Lindsay picked up a strawberry, took a bite, and frowned slightly before throwing the rest into the trash bag. “It’s too cold. My teeth can’t take it. Do you have something warm?”
Arthur was taken aback for a moment, then said, “I can warm up the fruits with hot water. He then brought the platter into
the kitchen.
A few moments later, he returned and placed the fruit platter in front of Lindsay. “I tasted it myself, it’s not as cold now?
“Thank you.” Lindsay politely said, picking up a piece of cantaloupe and putting it in her mouth, then shaking her head. “It’s still too cold. And after soaking it in hot water, the taste isn’t as good. Don’t you have any fruit that’s good to eat in your house?”
Arthur thought for a moment, then snapped his fingers. “I know what to do now. I’ll cut up some new fruits and make warm fruit juice for you, how about that?”
Lindsay smiled and said, “Sure, thank you.” Arthur ran back to the kitchen again
While he was preparing the fruit juice, Maria and the others had already nicely arranged the thermos and food containers from the food boxes. They also brought some clean plates, forks, and spoons.
There were seven dishes and one soup, along with mashed potatoes, all steaming as they had just been prepared.
Alaric and others called outgo Lindsay, “Lindsay, let’s eat now.”
Lindsay smiled, “I have a long journey today and I’d like to have some fruits to refresh myself first.”
There were no formalities in the Donovan family and Alaric did not treat her like an outsider. He immediately said, “I played basketball in the neighborhood for over an hour and I’m starving now. I’ll eat first.”
