After Zayn disappeared, a head popped out from the bushes diagonally opposite. 

A woman screamed excitedly, “He’s so handsome! He looks better on camera, but in person, he’s even more imposing. Just looking at his back gives me the chills! My Victor has to be him! It can only be him!”

“If you do this, who knows when the filming will begin?” 

The bespectacled woman did not mind. “You also hope that this drama will be as popular as ‘Lockwood’s Detective Diary‘, right? 

“Believe me, if you want this to be a hit, you have to cast him as the male lead! I’ve never been wrong in my judgment–he’s the perfect Victor, no one else can compare.” 

Clifford sounded like he was about to cry. “I absolutely trust your judgment. If he’s willing to take this role, I’ll agree to any terms–his pay, his choice of the female lead, whatever he wants!

Zayn had long noticed that someone was hiding in the bushes and peeping at him.

It was rare for Zayn to have two days off at home. 

Before dawn, he set off for the set to film “The Last Blood“.

“Sorry,” the girl said. She was in her 20s and was wearing a loose floral outfit. Her thick, wavy hair was tied loosely at the back, and she wore large round black glasses, giving her a scholarly and somewhat endearing look that reminded Zayn of the “nerdy” character from Alaric’s comic books. 

“I’m a web novelist, Tina Tate,” the young girl said. When she saw Zayn’s lack of reaction, she quickly walked up to the car window and added, “I’m pretty famous, not any less than Lockwood.” 

Zayn nodded, acknowledging her. “Are you here to find me?” he asked. 

Tina adjusted her thick glasses, her eyes sparkling. “I wrote a novel called Beauty and the Boss, and we’re planning to turn it into a television drama. We’re currently casting for the male lead. The first time I saw you, I thought you were the perfect fit for the CEO character.” 

“I’m sorry, but I’m too busy and there’s no room in my schedule” Zayn rolled up the window. “And I don’t do idol dramas, nor will I play a CEO character.” 

Though Zayn had never said it aloud, he simply could not understand why Maria liked those idol dramas. 

He had tried to watch a few in an attempt to learn, but every time, he lost interest within 30 minutes. 

He felt that playing a domineering CEO would disgust him more than anything. 

“Let me finish what I’m saying,” Tina said, her arm sliding through the window to stop him from closing it. “This book is extremely popular, a major hit, and I personally reviewed the script. The production team is the best in the industry.” 

Zayn paused, shaking his head. “I have no interest in this script or this role. You should try looking for someone else.” 

Tina was persistent. “The pay is negotiable, you can name your price.” 

Zayn replied, “No matter how high the pay is, I won’t take a role I’m not interested in.” 

However, Tina was undeterred. “You can choose the female lead. Even the top trending actresses are fine.” 

Zayn said, “I’m in a rush, so please move aside and stop blocking my way to work.” 

Tina said, “Trust me, this character is very manly and charming. He’s also a former soldier. He’s patriotic and loves his family and his country. His love for the female lead isn’t just about physical attraction or mutual needs, it’s about something much grander…”
