She Outshines Them All (Athena and Matthew) novel Chapter 442

Alaric did not sleep well the entire night and kept thinking about Joy's face.

In a daze, he even had a dream. He dreamed that his sister, Zilvia, was taken away by a claw that reached out from the darkness.

He screamed Zilvia's name in fright and woke up with a start. After that, he couldn't fall asleep anymore, and the sky turned bright.

He thought about it and decided to go to school to take a look. He hurriedly washed up, changed his clothes, picked up a hamburger and a glass of milk, and went out.

After driving to school, he looked around for Joy. However, he was unlucky. Perhaps it was because her fiancé was here, but Joy did not come to school today. No one knew where she went.

Alaric was unconvinced and went to school again on the second and third day, but he never saw Joy.

He did not know why he was looking for Joy, so he did not tell anyone about this and just held it in.

On the fourth day, he had to participate in the Frodorian Open and could not go to school.

On the night before he left, he thought about it and couldn't hold it in anymore. He found his mother and whispered to her, "Mom, I want to show you a photo."

Claire was lying on the massage chair and doing a massage. She narrowed her eyes comfortably and said, "What photo?"

Alaric replied, "A photo of a girl."

"A girl's photo?" Claire opened her eyes in surprise. "Aren't you doing quite well with Diane? You go on dates every other day. Why are you hiding other girls' photos? You can't be two-timing."

"I'm not dating Diane!" Alaric shouted with a red face. "We're all out on official business, okay? Mom, don't always think too much. Also, I'm not two-timing. I just find this girl a little... familiar."

He did not dare to say Zilvia's name and handed the photo on the phone to Claire.

Claire took one look at the photo and her eyes widened. She sat up and looked at the girl in the photo with rapid breathing.

She looked very carefully at every part and detail of the girl's face. Then, she raised her hand to cover her chest and tried to stabilize her breathing. "Who is this girl? Where have you seen her?"

Alaric hesitated for a moment before telling the truth. "She's a graduate student from the archaeology department of Kitmore University. Her name is Joy. Her grades are very outstanding and she's very famous in school. I... I think she looks a little like... Zilvia, but I don't think they are very similar."

He finally mentioned Zilvia. If Donovan family still had any regrets, it was Zilvia who hadn't been found. They had to face this.

Claire nodded and took out her phone. "Send me the photo and name of this girl. I... I'll go take a look myself when I'm free." Even if there was only a glimmer of hope, she had to confirm it.

Alaric sent Joy's photo to Claire, hoping that Claire would determine if Joy had anything to do with Zilvia. After all, no one knew their child better than a mother.

If Claire could confirm that Joy had nothing to do with Zilvia, he would be able to resolve one of his worries.

That night, Alaric still did not sleep well, and Claire did not sleep well either.

The next morning, Alaric went to the airport with Diane to participate in the Frodorian Open.

After making breakfast, Claire went to the restaurant to supervise the operation.

At two in the afternoon, it was time to rest in the restaurant. After waiting for the customers to leave, she took a nap in the restaurant and called the driver. "I want to go to Kitmore University to visit Athena. Can you send me there?"

The driver was hired for her by Athena so that she could go out at any time.

The driver was usually a security guard in the shop. When he received her call, he immediately drove the car to the entrance of the restaurant and picked her up to the campus.

When the two of them arrived at Kitmore University, it was about 4:30 pm. There was still some time before the afternoon class ended.

Claire had worked in Kitmore University's cafeteria when she was young. She was familiar with the campus, so she asked the driver to park at the largest intersection in the teaching area. She looked through the car window and patiently waited for the students to end class.

This intersection led to the largest teaching area, the largest dormitory area, the library, the stadium, the cafeteria, and so on. Almost all students would pass through this area after class.

She waited for half an hour but did not see Joy. Instead, she saw Matthew.

Matthew parked the car under the shade of a tree. He wore sunglasses and stood on the side of the car. Miracle's appearance was relatively ordinary, and his body was almost blocked by the car. If others did not look, they would not notice him at all.
