She Outshines Them All (Athena and Matthew) novel Chapter 453

After Athena accepted Matthew's proposal, Matthew took Athena's hand and led her to Nicolas.

He told Nicolas with a smile, "Dad, Athena has accepted my proposal. We will hold the wedding after she graduates. Please give us your blessing."

Nicolas was so angry that his eyes turned red. He grabbed a vase at the side and threw it at Matthew. He roared, "Get lost! You're not worthy of being my son. Get out of this house and Graham Group."

He pointed at Athena next and yelled, "How dare someone from an insignificant family like yours marry into our family? Dream on! We will never let you have your way."

When Brandon saw this, he was furious and wanted to rush up to rebut Nicolas on the spot.

However, Matthew spoke first. "If you scold my fiancée, you're criticizing me too. I came to your birthday party and even introduced my most important person to you. How could you scold me?

"You leave me with no choice but to leave. You can celebrate your birthday yourself."

Then, he held Athena's hand and left at once, not giving any thought to embarrassing Nicolas. Athena did not say goodbye to Nicolas either and left with Matthew with a smile.

When the Donovan family saw their daughter leave, they did not stay. They threw Nicolas disdainful looks and left as well.

Before Brandon left, he pointed his middle finger at Nicolas rudely, attracting everyone's attention and uproar.

Josie secretly made a face at Nicolas too and whispered "Bad Guy" before running away.

Everyone was speechless. They had heard Josie's words. They wondered if the Donovan family was fearless because they were ignorant, or so tough they did not fear being beaten.

But no matter what, Matthew had completely broken off ties with Nicolas. Nicolas was also humiliated.

For the remainder of the birthday party, Nicolas went back to his room to rest because of his poor health. Neil, Derrick, and the other big shots did not appear either.

As it was inappropriate for the guests to leave immediately, they sat down for a casual meal and gossiped about what had happened. After chatting, they left.
