Chapter 244 Just Believe Me
Kaylah lowered her head and said yes after a long silence.
Zion was so angry that he almost laughed. Zion thought, she hasn’t learned the lesson
yet.
She remembers that Hendry suffered a stab for her. However, she forgets who left her
the worst injury!
I reminded her not to be fooled by others, but she made the same mistake again.
She has taken care of Hendry for three days, but now there isn’t a deadline!
“Kaylah, are you out of your mind?” Zion was disappointed. “Did I teach you like this?”
Kaylah lowered her head and tapped her fingers sadly.
“I… I know that you are angry. You must think that I am out of my mind to do such a bad
bargain. I also know that you are worried that I will repeat the old mistake and hurt
myself again…”
“Then, why…”
“Zion, when he talked to me like that, I couldn’t control myself.”
Zion fell silent.
“I know that it is impossible for him and me to get back together. I won’t love him anymore. However… It takes time for me to get over him. I will consider this period of
time as a chance to fulfill my own wish.”
Kaylah raised her head and said firmly, “After he recovers, I promise you that I will keep
a distance from him and never have any interaction with him again!”
Zion looked at Kaylah with a complicated expression.
Zion thought, don’t make a promise casually. She is determined now. How embarrassing if she eats her words one day!
“Whatever. Don’t seek my comfort when you are injured,” Zion said with a long face.
Kaylah stopped Zion from complaining. “Zion, I promise you that I will never fall for or get back with Hendry. Just believe me, okay?”
Zion glanced at Kaylah and said, “I hope you know what you’re doing.”
Kaylah immediately nodded. “Of course, I do.”
I am not a saint. I won’t forgive Hendry so easily, Kaylah thought.
Seeing the determined look in Kaylah’s eyes, Zion felt satisfied.
Kaylah has her judgment from little. Sometimes, she is much wiser than me. It seems I made a fuss this time, Zion thought.
“By the way, Zion, how is the thing going between you and Andy?”
“What do you mean?” Zion played dumb and pushed Kaylah into the room. “It’s getting late. You should sleep now. Staying up late will make you look ugly.”
“Zion, don’t change the topic!” Kaylah was a little angry. She turned to glare at Zion and scolded him, “What is in your mind? Are you sure that you don’t feel for Andy?”
Zion smiled bitterly, “Kaylah, the relationships between adults are not as simple as you
think.”
