Alondra knew she had gotten her way after she heard Edith’s words.

She was relieved, but she had to pretend that she was sad.

“Mrs. Lowery, I don’t want to think about it now.”

As Alondra spoke, her eyes turned red. “I very much regret that I won’t be around to take care of you in the future. Please take this dress as my last gift for you before I leave.”
