They both insisted they were wearing the real deal, and the onlookers didn’t feel admiration toward them but were keener on watching them make a fool of themselves.
One was Hendry’s mother, and the other was a famous actress.
Both of them were important people, and everyone was busy guessing who was lying.
Edith was still stubborn. “How is it impossible? Who knows how you got this dress? Maybe it was a high–quality imitation secretly made!”
Maren didn’t bother to argue with Edith. Maren didn’t want to embarrass Edith and wanted to ask Kaylah about this. Maren wondered if Kaylah really made two pieces of the dress. If it was a misunderstanding, it should be corrected in time.
That way, although Maren was not wearing a unique dress, she would let it go because the dress was really beautiful. At most, Maren would be in a foul mood.
However, Edith’s aggressive attitude changed Maren’s mind. Maren did not want to lose to Edith
now.
“I’m wearing a knockoff? How can you be sure you are wearing that? Kaylah personally sent it to me. What about yours? Did she do it for you?”
Edith didn’t know what to say. She didn’t even see Kaylah’s face. How could Kaylah give her the
dress?
Edith began to suspect what she was wearing was fake, but in front of so many people, she was too embarrassed to admit it. She was cursing Alondra inwardly.
Realizing they were arguing endlessly, Harriet suggested, “I heard Kaylah also came here today. How about this? Let’s find her and ask her about it. Then the mystery will be solved. That way, no one would argue about it and talk trash later.”
Harriet’s remarks were directed at Edith, and many people were laughing.
