Chapter 422 Sick
A lot of work had piled up. And thanks to Zion, the Lowery Group was in a very difficult time. He couldn’t
slack a bit.
He suddenly got very painful stomach cramps and sweat broke out on his forehead.
Holding his phone, he wanted to call Kaylah. But now he was very clear-headed and knew that it was late, so
he didn’t want to disturb Kaylah.
The door was opened. Chad saw Hendry fall off his chair and rushed over to help him up.
“Mr. Lowery, are you alright?”
Hendry struggled to get up from the floor. “I’m fine. There’s stomach medicine in the drawer. Get some for
me.”
Chad hurriedly got some for him and poured him a glass of water. After Hendry finished the water, he sat on
the chair and took some time to catch his breath.
“Mr. Lowery, you should go to the hospital.”
Although the company was in a serious situation, Hendry’s health must not be taken lightly.
“No need.” Without raising his head, Hendry continued to read the documents.
Chad looked at Hendry quietly. “Mr. Lowery, Mrs. Lowery still disapproves it?”
Hendry paused. “I have already shown her the proposal. I believe that she will be moved.”
“But in that case, wouldn’t she think that you want her back because of the company? I’m afraid that it will
push her further away from you.”
There was a hint of ruthlessness in Hendry’s eyes. He looked up at Chad.
“Let me ask you, even if Kaylah was not my ex-wife and was only Leila, now she suddenly refused to
Hendry guessed something and raised his eyebrows at Chad.
“What happened? Tell me.”
Chad gritted his teeth. Originally, he did not want to tell Hendry this thing, but since Hendry asked, he might
as well tell.
“I went to several companies today to discuss cooperation, but those companies that used to suck up to us
now treated us coldly. They either refused to meet me or said very disrespectful things. Some even said that the Lowery Group will go broke sooner or later and that we are nothing without Leila. They were so mean.”
Hendry was very calm. “Well, try other companies. There is no need to be angry with them at this point. It is more important to manage the company well.”
Chad also knew that he should not be angry at this time. He knew he was being a little too petty.
“Yes, Mr. Lowery, I understand what you mean.”
Chad went out. Hendry leaned against the chair behind him. What those people said was not all wrong. Three years ago, if Leila had not joined forces with him, the Lowery Group would not have gotten on the right track so quickly.
