Millie thought she’d be more fearful of the ocean, but it turned out to be not a big deal at all. However, swimming in the ocean would be a different matter altogether.
She looked down at the bottomless ocean and gulped. She would probably fear the thought of swimming in the ocean. If she had fallen into the water, she might still suffer a breakdown and freeze, just like the other day.
The frightening imagery made her look away from the ocean.
Suddenly, she received a text notification on her phone. Rachel had sent her a WhatsApp message. Sorry, I can’t make it to the cruise party with you! It’s a pity. Have fun, Mills!”
Millie smiled. Soon, Rachel texted again. “I heard Winston and Joanna are there too. Don’t play nice if they humiliate you. Just fight back, especially with that bitch Joanna!
“Don’t waste your time talking to her–just teach her a lesson with a slap. I can’t believe that the homewrecker is playing the victim!”
Rachel added, “Mills, don’t keep everything to yourself. Instead, you should make them fear you. Your public image doesn’t matter as long as you’re happy! No matter what you do, I’ll show my support from my official account. Just do it!”
Millie chuckled at Rachel’s message. Folding an arm across her chest, she scrolled through their chat history with her free hand. Rachel made it sound like she was there for a battle.
After collecting herself, she wrote back, “Got it. I’ll have fun. Work hard!”
Rachel: “Be careful. Waiting for you to be back.”
Millie: “Buy me a bag when I get home.”
Rachel: “Sure. I’ll buy you everything you want.”
A smile played on Millie’s lips. “Alright. Bye.”
She put away her phone with a deepening smile. Rachel was the definition of a true friend, unlike Joanna.
