Before he could pepper her with kisses, she took the initiative to lift her head and kiss him.
She kissed him until he was drunk of it and listen to her well.
Then, she said, “Listen to me, dear. You should go shower first.”
“Okay, wait for me.” Xavier wiped the saliva on the corner of Winnie’s mouth and smiled devilishly.
Winnie narrowed her eyes but kept the smile, although not genuine, on her face. She then opened the contact list on her phone to look for Josiah’s number while saying, “Mhmm okay!”
Once Xavier entered the bathroom, Winnie took her clothes and left the bedroom.
She dialed Josiah’s phone in another guestroom. “He might have another symptom—hyper-excitation. He wouldn’t get tired at all and did not sleep the whole night. When I woke up in the morning, he was still very active.”
Josiah replied, “Strictly speaking, I’m not very surprised about what you just said since sedatives and anesthetics didn’t work on him either.”
“Yes, but him not sleeping doesn’t mean he doesn’t need it. If he keeps this up, he might collapse. In modern medicine, the only method they have is probably to increase the dosage of sedatives and anesthetics. However, there are side effects to this, and it’s not an effective treatment. Check and see if you can find anything from traditional medicine. Let’s give that a try,” she stated.
“Okay, I will check up on it. Oh, by the way, when he called me at dawn, why did he sound like a chatterbox? He can now recognize the differences. Isn’t he determined that he’s an overbearing CEO? Why did he talk so much? Did he get overstimulated by you somehow?” Josiah probed.
Winnie frowned slightly. “It’s just sex. We’re all adults here. Do you think that’s something overstimulating?”
“Oh.” Josiah paused briefly before adding, “No wonder. It’s normal to get excited since it’s the person he’s been pining after. Speaking of which, you guys are the weirdest couple I’ve ever met.”
“Huh?”
Josiah explained, “He liked you when you were mentally impaired—the kind that seems like a real one. He’s not an idiot. His family background, appearance, and social standing were all extraordinary, but he just had to fall for a mentally impaired woman. You’re weird too. When he was sane, you didn’t like him that much, even if you were his legal wife, or if his feelings for you were unwavering. Now that he lost his mind, you choose to be with him. Judge for yourself. Are you not a weird couple? At the very least, I have never heard of such a thing before.”
“You said it yourself. One will see the sincerity in the face of adversity,” she retorted.
“Fine. I’m so jealous. When will I get this kind of sincerity myself?” he responded.
“Are you sure? Do you want to get injected with such a large dosage of venom? Speaking of this, I must go to Yartran immediately. You should come to Lagune Mansion. I already called Louis over. You have to explain some of the details to him and coax Xavier. I need to leave today.” Winnie had just finished speaking when the guestroom’s door was pushed open.
Following that was a tall figure clad in only a bathrobe.
“Why are you not waiting for me in the bedroom, hmm? Who were you on the phone with?” Xavier walked over with a dark expression.
Winnie helplessly held her forehead. She never thought he would catch up so quickly.
After some contemplation, she answered, “Granny.”
“Why did you call someone living under the same roof?”
“You remembered it wrongly,” Winnie replied with a straight face. “She’s not used to living in such a huge mansion and moved out long ago. It’s been a few days, and Granny said she missed me, so I’m planning to go and keep her company. Ever since I got married to you, I haven’t seen her for such a long time. Granny’s the person who treats me the best in this world. You’ll not stop me from going to see her, will you?”
Hearing her, Xavier frowned. “From what you said, does it mean I don’t treat you well?”
For a moment, Winnie was at a loss. Is he seriously even jealous of Granny!
Looking at Xavier, she abruptly sat up on her knees and pulled his head into her arms. “I know you treat me well, but I have to go today. You can’t stop me, or I’ll ignore you.”
“You wouldn’t dare!”
“Let’s see about that.”
