The woman who walked out of the restroom was Kylie.

She went into the restroom not too long after she arrived. It was then she heard Josiah‘s assistant visiting Zyon to reveal juicy secrets.

When the assistant left, Kylie immediately sat next to the bed and asked curiously, “Isn‘t Yulissa Xavier‘s ex–girlfriend, Mr. Fairchild?”

“Yeah, how did you know?” Zyon raised his eyebrow.

“Who doesn‘t? Everyone knows Xavier almost burned all bridges with his friend for that woman. It was a pretty big piece of news. Do you know why Xavier initially picked me for an arranged marriage?”

Zyon cackled evilly. “Isn‘t it because you‘re quite skillful in the intimacy department?”

“What are you saying? Hmph!” She pretended to be shy. “Why do you always say things like that? Nothing happened between Xavier and me, okay? I‘m just waiting for you to recover and leave the hospital.”

“Oh? Then tell me why did Xavier pick you.”

“Because my eyes are quite similar to his crush‘s eyes.”

“Really?” Zyon leaned forward for a closer inspection. “Hmm, I wouldn‘t have noticed if you didn‘t mention it. Hah, it seems he still can‘t quite forget about that woman. So, you were trying to use your eyes to seduce him last time? Is that why you drugged him at the office and was thrown to the street by him afterward?”

“Can you stop bringing that up, Mr. Fairchild? I was just trying to use the advantage my eyes had given me.”

“Pfft,” Zyon sneered with disdain. “You just so happened to have a pair of eyes that resembled Yulissa‘s. What‘s useful about that?”

“It‘s because that woman‘s already dead! Even if I only have a pair of eyes that resemble hers, it‘s still good enough!”

“Like heck it is! Who told you she‘s dead? As long as the real thing is still around, you don‘t even have the right to fill in as a substitute.”

“What?” Kylie was shocked. “She‘s still alive? I thought the news said she‘s dead?”

“Like h*ll she‘s dead! That‘s just an illusion Old Mr. Fairchild used. I bet Xavier knew it in his heart, too. He knows his woman isn‘t dead and is waiting for her to change her mind.”

“Then why does he still want to have an arranged marriage with me?”

“What do you think? You‘re just a tool to him. If he likes you, he‘ll have you bear a child for him. If he doesn‘t, he‘ll use you to aggravate that woman. You really think you‘re someone special,

huh?”

After being mocked by Zyon like that, Kylie felt embarrassed and furious. Nevertheless, she didn‘t have the nerve to show it on her face.

Since it was impossible for her to become the lady of the Fairchild family by marrving Xavier she decided to use Zyon as her entry point instead.

As long as Zyon could take Xavier down, she would still be able to become the lady of the Fairchild family when she married Zyon.

If that happened, she would demand Xavier kneel in front of her and apologize.

Thus, for the sake of her glorious future, she had to grit her teeth and endure those insults. “Then what do you plan to do next? It seems like our fathers have started working together on the company side of things. Do you have any plans to deal with Xavier?”

“Of course. Xavier is just a normal man, meaning he can still be tempted by beauty. Didn‘t you hear what the assistant said earlier? About how he‘s falling for your sister? A man who can be driven crazy by a woman, especially a mentally challenged one, doesn‘t have the right to become the head of the Fairchild family! This time, I‘ll use my most deadly tactic to ensure he‘ll never recover! Give me my phone.”

“Okay.” Kylie promptly handed the phone to him.

Upon turning on his phone, Zyon found the telephone number he was looking for.

“Wait, wait, wail. I surrender, okay? In all scriousness, I do have a request for you. Two days later, there‘ll be a charity gala at Avenport. You know about that one, right? I need to attend the event, but I don‘t have a female companion. My beloved Gator, I‘m now sincerely inviting you, begging you, to be my female companion that day.”
