Xavier walked pretty fast as he almost immediately arrived next to Winnie.

She didn’t even see how he pulled Hayden away before he hugged her tightly.

The force he exerted with his hug made her feel as though he wanted to morph her into his body.

“I-I can’t breathe.” Winnie felt as if she was going to suffocate. In response, she raised her fist and smashed it on Xavier’s broad back. This is the first thing he wants to do after not seeing me for a long time? Trying to kill me via asphyxiation?

That didn’t stop him from hugging her even tighter. He was wholly immersed in his moment with her as he spoke in a hoarse voice. “You’ve finally returned to my side, Dumbo!”

The islanders standing at the side were speechless.

“Who the f*ck are you? How dare you hug my wife! I’m going to beat you to death today!” The middle-aged and short-sighted Hayden scolded as he sat on the ground.

He wanted to stand up and snatch his wife back, but before he could do anything, he was lifted into the air.

That was because he was carried up by Xavier’s bodyguard effortlessly.

“Who are you? Let go of me! Otherwise, I’ll hit you! I’m calling for help!” After he was hoisted into the air like a chick by the bodyguard, he waved his limbs comically in an attempt to hit the bodyguard. However, his efforts were futile.

Since Hayden was a scoundrel, he decided to call for help when he couldn’t solve the problem himself. “Spike! Jerry! What are you two standing there for? Come and help me take care of these motherf*ckers! They’re taking my wife away!”

To the people of Sirona Island, Xavier and his bodyguard were outsiders. They refused to let outsiders bully one of their own, so dozens of people immediately rushed toward Xavier.

When Winnie saw that, she couldn’t help but worry for Xavier, his bodyguard, and his driver. Even if his bodyguard is a national combat competition champion, so many islanders here are holding harpoons! How are they going to defeat the islanders without weapons?

After the driver received a glance from Xavier, he opened the travel bag in his hands and threw cash into the air.

Hayden was shocked by the sudden turn of events. “What are you doing? Save me, guys! Save me!”

It was then Xavier finally let go of Winnie.

Then he glanced at Hayden coldly and ordered the bodyguard to let the middle-aged man go.

The bodyguard did as his employer asked and abruptly released his hands.

In an instant, Hayden plopped down on the beach. He wanted to crawl away with a disabled leg, but the bodyguard blocked his path.

As if no one else was around, Xavier lowered his head and brushed his finger on Winnie’s face. “No need to be scared. I’ll be right back.”

Her mouth opened as she detected his intention to beat Hayden up, wanting to tell the man to stop.
