Luke's brain was buzzing with confusion at this moment.
He was just passing by, not expecting to hear such shocking news.
'This is fake, right?
'It must be fake.
'Sean... How can she be pregnant?
'Even if she is pregnant, whose baby is she carrying?
'Another man's, or...'
Luke felt very uncomfortable as if something was stuck in his throat.
At that moment, another voice came from the big office, not belonging to the one who had just said Sean was pregnant.
But again, both were shocked.
"Seriously, is Sean really pregnant?"
"How is this possible? Are you lying to us?"
The third person asked.
And all this happened to be what Luke wanted to know the most right now.
Subconsciously, he held his breath, stepped lightly toward the doorway of the big office, stopped at the wall next to the doorway, and then lowered his head to listen in silence.
He needed to know if Sean was really pregnant or not and whose child she was carrying.
Luke's eyes narrowed, flashing menacingly.
In the big office, several secretaries and assistants stopped their work. They sat together like in a meeting, forming a circle, seemingly just to gossip about Sean.
Seeing her coworkers' eager faces, the one sitting in the center smiled in satisfaction, "I'm not lying. I'm 80 percent sure that Sean is pregnant, and I have evidence."
'80 percent?'
Luke's face changed slightly.
'It's such a high certainty, so Sean is really...'
"What evidence? Quickly say it. Don't keep us guessing."
"Yeah, we can't wait. Don't keep us in suspense. How on earth do you know Sean is pregnant?"
"Come on, tell us."
Being urged, this secretary didn't want to annoy her colleagues. She lowered her hand, signaling them to be quiet before saying slowly, "In fact, I knew about it not long ago. Well, I should say I was sure of it not long ago. You all know Sean sometimes runs to the restroom to vomit during work hours, right? "
"Yes, we were wondering if she had some serious illness, but Sean said she wasn't sick and that she just had an upset stomach, so we didn't think much about it, but now that I think about it, it seems to be proof that she's pregnant."
