Sir madame has run away again (Lily and Carson) novel Chapter 228

Chapter 228
After Jolene passed the jade to Camille, she began to examine the jade closely. Impatient, I said, “Err, Camic, Jolene… I’m going out with President Smith now. Goodbye!”
“Goodbye.” Camille stopped pestering me.
After leaving the main hall with President Smith, I turned to see Camille still talking to Jolene.
Is weird. Camille doesn’t seem like a person who can become anyone’s friend. Besides, Jolene is just an ordinary person. Why does she treat Jolene favorably?
On the way back, I looked out the window in silence. Thinking I was upset because I was refused entry to the office by Eric’s secretary, President Smith comforted me by saying, “Lilian, President Walker has a tight schedule today. Right after I left his office, a design firm owner walked in.”
“President Smith, I don’t care about that.”
“That is great.” President Smith managed a smile. “Are you close with Camille?”
“No, we’re just acquaintances”
Arriving at the company, I called Keira’s class teacher to ask about Keira. She said that Keira did well in school and was friendly with her peers. Hearing this, I was relieved.
Not seeing Keira in so long, I really missed her. When I told the teacher that I wanted to see my daughter, she said that her parents were only allowed to visit their daughter once a month. Since Keira’s father was visiting this month, I would have to reserve a spot for next month.
When did Carson meet Keira behind my back? He didn’t even tell me about it. Although I was in doubt, I had no choice but to hang up the call.
After work, I went straight to the hospital. On the way there, I got a call from Carson. “Honey, you left the company, right?”
“Yes.”
“Are you going to see your dad at the hospital?”
“Yes,” I answered shortly.
“Excellent. I’m waiting for you at the entrance to the hospital.”
What is this idiot trying to do? Hanging up, I stepped on the accelerator and was soon in the hospital parking lot.
As soon as I parked the car, Carson appeared with bags of herbal supplements in his hands. Frowning, I questioned, “Why did you buy so many things?”
“These supplements are useful for cardiovascular disease. I think your father might need them.”
“There are many of those.”
“In truth no. This is nothing compared to what your father did for you.”
I found him laughable. Is he trying to beg loyalty? Does he think these supplements are enough to change my father’s view of him? He is taking an overly simplistic approach to this matter.
“This is too much. I’ll only take a few bottles. Give the rest to your parents.”
“No way. They are all for your dad,” insisted Carson. “Honey, I will carry them for you.”

Apparently, he was trying to follow me to the infirmary. “Husband, I know you are worried about my father, I understand very well the state he is in. Can you wait for him to recover first?”
