Sir madame has run away again (Lily and Carson) novel Chapter 246

Chapter 246
“That’s my money. When I entrusted it to him, he stole it to buy a car.” Jolene explained via text.
‘Am I an idiot to you? How could you invent such a lie? Carson didn’t believe her. ‘I know how much money you have to your name!’
‘That’s really my money from you. Think about it: how much money have I received from you over these years?”
“But you didn’t tell me clearly the last time you spent all that money? You said you were broke!”
I got angry and said that to piss you off. I did it because I felt jealous of how you treated Lily.’ Jolene went on to explain. ‘Over these years I have saved all the money you gave me. I’m worried that Lily will notice if I put it on my tab, so I gave it to my brother. Who would have thought he would steal it?
Carson finally believed her words. ‘How can you add to my troubles at this time?
‘It happened. What’s the point of blaming each other? Right now, our priority is to think of a way to deal with Lily. We need to clarify her suspicions and think of a solution to pay compensation.”
Just tell her that Robin bought the car with her father’s fishing money. As for compensation… Well, that’s a problem.
‘I want to borrow money from Lily. That shameless bitch looked ridiculous. How could she have such a stupid idea?
‘Lily has almost run out of money over the years. Where will she get the money to lend you? Carson launched a rare objection.
‘How do you know she has no money?’ Jolene snapped at him.
“When she came home just now, she made it clear that she was broke. She even asked if I planned to lend you money.”
“Wait, did she really say that to you? She may be broke, but her parents are rich! Does she not get along with her?
now?”

‘I’ll warn you now: don’t think about dragging Lily’s father into this. He’s an old fox. If he notices something wrong, our efforts will go down the drain.’ I never expected that idiot to call my father an ‘old fox’. Damn! I really wanted to punch him in the face.
‘I understood. Don’t worry, I won’t spoil your plans. But husband, why do I feel like Lily is acting weird lately?”
“What’s weird about her?”
“She doesn’t seem like the kind of woman who would ask her husbands for help. Why do I feel like she has changed so much?” That shameless bitch Jolene really knew me well. ‘Husband, I’ve been feeling insecure. I kept thinking that she might know about us and that she is thinking of a way to get back at us.
“You’re making assumptions again! Aren’t you tired of thinking too much? Did you think Lily could keep quiet if she knew about us?” Carson also knew me well that I would never share my possessions, including my husband, with anyone else. However, he underestimated a woman’s determination and patience to exact revenge.
“That’s
not entirely impossible! Look, I miscarried under suspicious circumstances. And Lily is acting differently than before. I also find her housekeeper very strange! Jolene mentioned her miscarriage again, determined to pin this incident
on me.
‘Stop talking about Lily. We need to discuss compensation. What do you plan to do?”
