Sir madame has run away again (Lily and Carson) novel Chapter 472

Chapter 472

“That is not the case!” I quickly retorted.

“Everything is fine as long as you don’t. Lilian, we’re friends, so I won’t sugarcoat my words. You can joke around with a man like Eric, but you should never take your relationship too seriously.”

His words sent a shiver down my spine. “I know that.”

“You have to remember what I said. You can have sex with him, and you can use his resources to further your own goals, but you must never fall in love with him, as this has dire consequences. Eric is different from Carson as Carson depended heavily on you whereas Eric was born rich. A man like him can be a lot more ruthless when the situation calls for it, so do you understand why I’m telling you this?

Despite knowing Isabella meant well for me, her words pissed me off. Although I never wanted to have sex with Eric, I allowed things to happen gradually as they did, causing a shift in my perspective, even though I never felt hopeful about our relationship before having sex with him.

I wasn’t sure what I was expecting. Was I expecting him to love me back? He never told me this, opting instead to say that he liked me. Those were two totally different concepts, for while he might like many women, he would only save a place for the woman he loved, where a married woman like me would not belong.

After the call with Isabella, I pulled away as I leaned against the bed, all the while convincing myself not to get my hopes up for Eric. However, I just couldn’t take my attention away from him. I still haven’t heard the sounds of his car, so I wondered when he’d be back.

The ringing of my phone broke the silence in the room. When I answered, Dylan was on the line. “Lilian, are you still in Germania?”

“Hey whats up?”

“When are you planning to come back?”

“Within a few days.”

“Why don’t you spend a few more days there?”

“Why should I?”

“I will be going to Germania in a few days.”

“No way. I’m bored here, because I don’t speak German. Although the residents here speak English, communication is still difficult, so I feel like an idiot. I just want to go home now.”

“Nah, I’m tired of not understanding my conversations, so I really want to go home. By the way, it’s not fun here in Germany, so we should go skiing in Switzerland if you want to join me on a trip. I miss when we went skiing back then.”

“OK.” At my insistence, Dylan gave up trying to convince me to stay. All he did after that was talk and tell me jokes, which made me laugh out loud, improving my mood completely.

It wasn’t until my phone indicated that it was low on battery that I realized how much time I’d spent talking to Dylan. “Wow, my phone has been running out of battery since I’ve been talking to you for so long! This call will cost me dearly!”

“It is not much. You sure are getting meaner.”

“It’s because I’m poor, so unlike a president like you, my money is worth a lot!” I said this deliberately.

“I’m just pulling your leg!” Dylan laughed. “Do you need me to recharge your phone credit?”

“Clear! How about you do that while I buy you a souvenir? What do you think of this exchange?”

“Oh, you sure hate to lose. Alright, I don’t need a gift since you’re so stingy, but I’ll still top up your phone’s credit.”

“This is a joke. By the way, what else do you like besides combat knives and lighters? I can buy it for you if you tell me.”
