Chapter 596
Forget it, now is not the time for me to worry about Eric. I have important things to do next.
I changed my clothes and went downstairs. The phone in the living room rang. The auntie answered it and turned to tell me, “Lily, Carson called. He said he was at the door and asked you to go out for a while.”
This bitch. I was afraid that he would harass me last night and I had blacklisted him. I didn’t expect him to call my home. Now I didn’t tell my parents about this. I didn’t want to make things difficult. So I suppressed the anger in my heart and said, “I will go out to see him.”
“I will go with you. Dylan immediately stood up.
“No need. I’ll be fine by myself. Don’t worry, he won’t do anything to me.” Dylan still wanted to persuade me, but I waved at him. “If you go out with me, this matter will be even more complicated. Listen to me, I can handle it now.”
I strode out of the house and saw Carson’s car parked at the gate of my house. When he saw me coming out, he opened the door and got out to welcome me. His face was green and white. It was the work of me and Isabella yesterday. I looked at him coldly. “This is not the place to talk. Let’s find a tea room!”
“Okay.”
We found a 24–hour tea room nearby and ordered a private room.
The waiter brought two cups of tea, closed the door, and pushed it out. Carson knelt down in front of me with a thud. “Lily, please forgive me! I beg you!”
“Forgive you?” I looked at Carson with amusement. I didn’t know where his confidence came from. Why was he so sure that I would forgive him? “Carson, before you did so many heartless things to me, did you think that there would be such a day?”
“I thought about it. It was because I was afraid that you would find out that you didn’t want me, so I was threatened by Jolene.”
“Including you being threatened by her when you went to bed with her?” I sneered.
“Yes.” Carson shamelessly admitted it. “Lily, you are too calm. Let me tell you everything.”
I looked at him indifferently. No matter how clever you were, I couldn’t turn around. After all, all of this was my personal experience, not hearsay.
