Sir, You Don’t Know Your Wife Chapter 555
Despite Lynette’s thoughts, she reluctantly returned to the classroom.
Sure enough, several people crowded around her as soon as she stepped through the door. Carmen smiled and flatteringly asked, “Lynette, what did Mr. Goldstein say?”
“Lynette, how did Mr. Goldstein handle this matter?”
“Sigh. I’m sure Mr. Goldstein didn’t even dare to say a word! After all, her uncle is a former lecturer at our university! I’m sure Mr. Goldstein will be respectful of her uncle’s wishes!”
“That’s right. Besides, Lynette’s father is Ronald Shields. He is a bigshot in Sandfort City. I’m sure Mr. Goldstein didn’t even dare to say a word of dissent!”
In response, Lynette pouted. She couldn’t talk about her pain!
Seeing that, Carmen simply thought that Lynette couldn’t be bothered to explain. Thus, she hooked her arm around Lynette’s and continued trying to butter up to her. “Janet got what she deserves, right? How dare she go against you? Does she think she’s amazing just because she is the top scorer of the college entrance exams?”
“Yeah. Janet has annoyed me for a long time now. Isn’t she just a little prettier?”
“Ever since she appeared, all the guys in our school have been posting pictures of her on the school forum all day long! It’s as if they took a love potion or something!”
“Yeah; that’s why I couldn’t get a boyfriend!
“I hope the school expels Janet, lest she continues to harm the other guys!”
Carmen nodded in agreement. “Anyway, how did your father and your uncle punish Janet—”
Contrary to everybody’s expectations, Carmen was still in the middle of her sentence when Lynette shook off her arm. Then, Lynette walked over to her desk and started packing up.
As a result, everybody dumbfoundedly stared at Lynette, feeling shocked.
“Why are you packing up your stuff, Lynette? Are you dropping out of school?”
