Chapter 303.1 She Deserves It (1)
Troy received news from Yann this morning. Blake ran away.
At that moment, he understood Imogen’s mood and why she called the police. That was why she vented her anger on him when she saw him with Sarah…
Troy blamed himself.
Just after Imogen got Sarah’s secret, Blake disappeared. It was most likely related to Sarah.
Sarah experienced the cruel torture and was unwilling to face the kidnapper. He gave her time.
If Troy had directly forced her to identify the kidnapper, he would have caught her off guard. Then, Blake would not have escaped…
Because of the kidnapping case, he gave Sarah too much tolerance,
She didn’t like Imogen and was unwilling to identify the kidnapper. Troy understood it.
But he never expected that Sarah would choose to let go of the kidnapper who had hurt her!
Her behavior made Troy’s last trace of sympathy for her disappear.
It was her own fault that she ended up in this situation.
But Troy was still in a bad mood.
When he thought of Imogen’s words last night, he felt a breath stuck in his chest, making him unable to breathe. His heart was stuffy, and his throat was sore.
She said he was disgusting.
It seemed that he was nothing in her heart.
Troy could only use work to numb himself.
When he saw it was a call from Imogen, his first reaction was surprise. Then, an imperceptible joy surged deep in his heart.
Troy picked up the phone, and his fingertip was tremblingly hovering over the connect button. He almost pressed it.
No!
Imogen scolded him like that. Why did she call him?
If he answered the phone quickly, she would look down. upon him.
He also had self–esteem!
Troy paused for a while, put the phone back on the table, and gazed at the documents.
“Where did I read just now?”
Troy stared at a certain point on the document. His mind was in a mess. The familiar words on the document combined, but he didn’t know what they meant.
Why did she call him?
He could no longer read the document!
Troy glanced at the ringing mobile phone next to him and picked it up again.
“Just answer it.
“Otherwise, she will call me again. It will affect. my work.”
Troy told himself.
He just didn’t want to affect his work.
Then, he answered the phone.
He swore that he wanted to say calmly, “Hey, what’s going on?”
But when the words came to his mouth, his tongue seemed uncontrollable. He said a sentence full
of resentment, making him like an emotional man.
After saying that, Troy felt that he must have been crazy.
That was not something he could speak!
But he had already spoken it. It could not be recalled.
Troy pressed his lips tightly, waiting anxiously for Imogen’s reply.
Imogen chuckled. “Aren’t you angry with me? Why are you still answering my phone?”
If Imogen hadn’t heard it with her own ears, she wouldn’t have believed that Troy would say such
words.
He was like a child who said sarcastic remarks to gain attention.
“If the phone hadn’t been ringing all the time and affecting my work, how could I answer it?” Troy said.
