LEYSA'S POV
"I will carry your bag, Leys!" Dan offered me that made me smile, that is also one of the good qualities of my ex –boyfriend.
"No its ok, it's not that heavy, though..." I refused and was about to walk into the resort, but he just insisted and took my bag from me ... hays, the trip was also tiring. We arrived at noon because of a bit of traffic and also because of the bad weather yesterday ... but now it is clear.
And yes, I am with Dan. Actually, I believe that it was just a coincidence that we met on the bus because he actually had to go to a conference in Laoag, but then he agreed to go with me here.
I took the lead in walking inside the resort that’s why I turned to look at him. And I found him staring at me intently. Full of sadness and regret, I might say.
Too bad, I loved him more than I loved myself before, but then he ruined it –he ruined me.
"Dear Dan. If only you hadn't been blinded by my sister's savagery, we would have been happy to form a family now," I said to myself as I smiled looking at Dan who was probably back in his senses when he noticed I was looking at him.
Oh well, by the way, we were at the front desk and I asked where Diana was. And I also found out that my older brother took a helicopter ride so he came here first. If I only knew that, but it's okay, atleast Dan and I met again. Even though I know my sister will surely makes a way for us to meet again. Anyway, it's comforting this way because, we meet again unexpectedly.
"They're at the restaurant, Mam," the receptionist answered me. So Dan and I went straight to where they were.
We had not yet reached their table when someone greeted me with a hug.
I smiled as I familiarized myself with who it was. "Best friend! Seriously I miss you. You are also annoying, you witch. You did not even show up to me when you came home here in the Philippines." Monica, my very own best friend said, she also flirted with Fred's friend Cong. David Falcon, so now they are married and have a baby boy.
I hugged her back.
"Crazy. If I know you're on your honeymoon again, that’s why I didn’t bother you. Anyways, I miss you too!" I answered.
I noticed she looked at the man behind me and she loosen her hug to me, and approached Dan, she pushed him softly.
