SISTER IN LAW novel Chapter 17

He approached my seat, "Hey best friend! How are you? I miss you! How is married life? You look troubled dude. I told you before to don't get married yet," Edward greeted and said to me, one of my best friends for life, and I even saw him smirked teasingly.

This fool laughs at me! So I threw him a crumbled paper and I smiled at him, he came back right on time when I needed him the most. He is the only one I can tell about my grievances in life, because some of our friends are also busy. And he is a good adviser, no doubt about it.

We last saw each other was before my wedding day. He wasn't able to attend my wedding that time, he should be my best man but he flew back to Spain where he is really based now for a project. He is an architect, and he also does not want to be a best man for a wedding without love involved. Psh, as if.

"Damn you!" I blurted out at him because of what he just said that I shouldn't have married Diana before and I also can't help but laughed as well.

Because that is true, he told me several times before my wedding not to do such hastily decision because there was still a better solution to my problem at that time and maybe someone will come that is much better for me and the hottest bachelor in town, Frederik Wilford's wedding would be more pompous.

And I regretted the day that I did not listen to him, but it's already here. I just can't leave Diana for some other girl. Especially that WILCO –my grandpa's beloved company would be given to me in no time. But f*ck it! Leysa is not just some other girl –she's different, more way different from all!

I sat down again in my swivel chair and violently washed my hand over my face.

Edward also sat in the chair in front of my desk.

I looked at him, the fool smiled as he was analysing my actions. He is always like that –a psycho analyst, hays.

"Is it a woman?" he suddenly asked, so I looked at him seriously.

"I will tell it to you after I figured all the things out," I just answered.

LEYSA'S POV

"So how was it, sis?"

We are here in the kitchen, and I am asking my older sister, how was my cooking skills.

"Hmm. It's so ..." my sister said hanging, tss so artsy –she's just going to say if it's delicious or not, why so many segways?

But I patiently waited for her comment, she is still chewing the chicken curry I cooked, my brother-in-law's favourite dish.

She smiled...

"You're good at cooking, sis! It's delicious, you even cook better than me. I'm sure babe will enjoy eating this dish you cooked, it's his favourite though," she commented with a sweet fake smile.

"Ow? My older brother's favourite is chicken curry? I didn't know. But now, I know. I hope he'll love it," I replied back to her, of course I pretended not to know, but I already knew everything about him. I studied that, oh well I need to, I have to.

My sister and I have already prepared and served the food in the dining area because Frederik is on his way home, along with one of his best friends.

I am busy putting some bowls of my chicken curry on the table when someone enters the area.

And he is so damn hot wearing his suit, that's why I didn't notice that my grip on the bowl was tilted a bit so the soup broth was thrown on my finger and it's a little bit hot so I was shaken.
