Chapter 428 Conflict
They walked along the deck towards the island.
On the ship aside, Scar led a group down from the deck. None of them were carrying weapons.
Few places allowed people to be armed outside Sin City.
This was the place where pirates lived. Too many weapons might cause some conflict.
The captain of Gerald’s ship took the lead. When he reached the shore, quite a few people stood there, dressed in rags. Their skin was very dark and should have been exposed to sunlight and rain for a long time.
What surprised Gerald most was that they all had guns hanging on their chests. The captain walked to the front and communicated with the people there with words Gerald had never heard before.
Gerald estimated that there were about a hundred people at the port.
When Jolie saw these pirates, she said in fear, “Can… I stay on the ship?”
Gerald nodded and said, “Alright. Stay on the top floor with Milo. Don’t go anywhere else.”
Milo was not interested and did not come down. He only wanted to arrive in Europe as soon as possible and took revenge on Perrin.
The people at the port were unashamedly sizing up Valery and the others standing on the deck.
Valery, Carolyn, and Belinda all looked dazzlingly beautiful. Moreover, their skin was so flawless that these weather-beaten pirates had never seen it.
Many locals even whistled at them.
Belinda could not stand being treated this way. No one dared to tease her in Sin City. Therefore, she asked coldly, “Can I kill them?”
Theo and the others were shocked. Though armed, most pirates were ordinary people and could not
be Belinda’s match.
The locals would not let Gerald’s team go easily if a conflict occurred here. After all, they stopped here to get supplies and did not want to waste too much time here.
Theo quickly said, “My dear Belinda, that’s where you are wrong. They whistled at you because of your beauty. People often tease girls like you and even want to friend you on Line. What if you go outside in the future? Are you going to kill hundreds of people in a day?”
There was nothing wrong with what he said. Any woman would be delighted to hear it.
But the way he addressed her made Belinda roll her eyes.
“I think I need to beat you first before dealing with them,” Belinda said with a dark face.
Gerald smiled when he saw their banter.
Over the past few days, he could see that Belinda was trying her best to get along with their team. Instead, Milo still spoke very little.
They stood there and waited. Soon, the captain came over and said, “They agreed. Let’s go ashore!”
Gerald nodded. They got off the ship and walked onto the island. After they landed on the ground, Theo narrowed his eyes and said, “It’s so comfortable!”
A few men were closing in on them. They surrounded Valery, Belinda, Carolyn, and Kristen while chattering about something.
One of the locals reached out his hand to touch Kristen.
The girls were already a little unhappy that they were surrounded by these locals. That man’s action annoyed Kristen, whose eyes suddenly turned cold. She grabbed the wrist of that man and twisted his arm. Instantly, that man cried out and fell to his knees.
“Blah, blah, blah…”
These pirates seemed to be irritated by Kristen’s reaction and the scream. Several people raised their guns in response.
Gerald frowned.
He did not want any trouble, but troubles did not seem to let go of him.
He threw a cold stare at one of the coordinators at the port.
