Chapter 488 A Gift From Kaven
In the small courtyard behind Quadrity, Kaven took the letter from Gerald and opened it.
While reading the letter, Kaven frowned and soon revealed an indescribable look on his face.
“What’s wrong?” Gerald asked. “Of course. If it’s inconvenient to say, you don’t have to tell me.”
Charles was the most mysterious man in Sin City. Gerald had always wondered why Charles had given him
this letter.
Charles was obviously able to communicate with the outside world through Davis, but he still chose to write a letter and asked Gerald to personally hand it to Kaven. This meant that there must be some secrets in this
letter.
Therefore, Gerald felt that it was inconvenient for Kaven to tell him.
But Kaven smiled and said, “Actually, there is nothing inconvenient to say, Charles said that he planned to go back. Obviously, he went back to Sin City. And you brought this letter to me. If I’m right, you should have gone
to Sin City!”
Gerald looked at Kaven in surprise. But then, he suddenly understood something.
Charles came from Sin City. When Charles was in his teens, his status in Sin City was quite high. He was Kaven’s junior. Gerald thought that there was a deep relationship between Kaven and Sin City. Maybe Kaven knew more about Sin City than Gerald did.
Gerald nodded and said, “Yes. I went there to do something.”
“Charles told me that the war might start, and those ordinary cities would also be involved. He told me that if I had no choice, I could bring the people close to me back to that city!” Kaven said. “Actually, they are almost. some useless words in this letter: Charles is mainly worried about me!”
Gerald looked at Kaven. It was obvious that Kaven did not tell the truth. If Kaven had told the truth, he
wouldn’t have such a deep frown on his face.
Of course, this was a matter between Kaven and Charles. Since Kaven said so, it was obvious that he did not
want to say more. Gerald naturally did not ask more.
Thus, Gerald nodded and said, “Alright. I have completed this mission. Then I will go eat something first!”
Kaven opened his mouth but hesitated. In the end, he did not say anything. He nodded and said, “Alright, then go eat something. When you leave, inform Hamish. I will ask Hamish to get something for you.”
Gerald nodded.
Gerald returned to Quadrity. Under the guidance of the waiter, Gerald went to a private room on the sixth floor. Nova was also there!

After seeing Gerald, Nova looked at him with a half-smile and said, “No wonder you are Watchman No. 0. You are the first person I know who can come to the sixth floor in Quadrity. When my grandfather wanted to come to the sixth floor to eat, he was almost kicked out by Mr. Dominic.”
Gerald shook his head and said, “There is something I didn’t tell you. I am no longer a Watchman, nor am I
Watchman No. 0.”
Nova was stunned. “What do you mean? Could it be that those rumors are true?”
“What rumors?” Gerald asked.
The thing of Gerald leaving the Night Watch should be the Night Watch’s internal affair. For some reason, the Night Watch wouldn’t publicize it. There was no problem in this aspect. No Watchmen would leak the news.
“Some rumors in the underground world. It’s said that the Night Watch has issued a Blood Order to hunt you,”
Nova said.
