Sold to Mr. Arrogant novel Chapter 87

I reached the hospital and the nurse led me to the ICU in order to see my father. I entered the room to spot him lying on his bed, he was still unconscious. The doctor told me that he has stage four liver cancer from all the alcohol he drank during his lifetime, he has only six months left to live at most and this stage can not be treated.

"How did he come here?" I asked.

"He lost his consciousness on the streets and someone brought him here,"

I recalled that I have to call Shawn as soon as possible; I should not be the reason why Gerald get out of prison, that is not why I came back. I did not know Shawn's number though so I was in a tight spot.

I checked up on dad one last time and asked the doctor to not let him out of the hospital until I come to get him myself. I gave them my account number and paid online for my father's hospital fees. I decided to quickly rush to the mansion and ask someone to contact Shawn for me. I did as planned and took one of the mansion guard's phone to contact Shawn.

Please answer, please, please... Finally, he picked up the phone.

"Shawn, Lily's speaking," I started.

"I am glad you called first," I am familiar with that voice, hell no...

"Why are you the one answering?" I asked nervously.

"I did not know that Siergo was that useless, it doesn't matter anyway... You are destined to die by my hands,"

"Where is Shawn?"

"He is doing well for someone who fought with 5 hulky bodyguards, just some scratches and bruises, his condition might worsen in a while if you do not hurry and come here,"

"He is your son... how could you?" I stuttered.

"Come to the warehouse in front of Gallo Prison, Lily. We have some unfinished business to do," He ordered in a dark tone.

I knew what would happen once I reach there, I also knew that I have to ask Shawn's assistant and his men for help but I was worried I might complicate things more. I guess I will have to go there alone and await my own fate. I didn't want to go unarmed, I hid the gun in my pants and slid over it my shirt hiding its figure.

Before I rode the stolen car, I asked the guards to contact their manager who is Shawn's secretary and inform him of the news. I don't know where my brother is, I hope he is okay, I left him a note with the guard instructing him to take care of our father who is in the hospital and about to die. I knew that he would not like the idea very much but he is his biological father after all.

I headed to the location that Gerald had told me and there were dozens of bodyguards, how could he gather all those men when he just got out of prison, he is one mighty filthy man.

"So you really came," he began.

I looked next to him and witnessed a gagged Shawn who is trying to force his way out of chains. My heart sank when I saw him in that state, it felt like he wanted to say a lot of things but he just couldn’t because of the gag.
