Son-In-Law Gets an Upgrade novel Chapter 1024

Chapter 1024 Suspicious

Soon enough, Glenn closed in the distance between him and Alex. They were only several meters apart from each other, and it was close enough for Glenn to strike.

He continued to quicken his pace as he aimed a strike at Alex’s head with his right palm.

Alex quickly dodged sideways. He realized that it was not viable to run away as he had insufficient speed to escape from the pursuit of a half Grandmaster.

Having known Glenn’s strength, Alex abandoned his previous idea. He knew he couldn’t deal with him even with the help of the rescue team and their firearms.

He came up with the plan to lure Glenn to hundred meters away from the estate because he knew that he was unable to kill him. This would allow the rescue team to successfully save the people who had been captured.

“Go ahead and run! Why have you stopped running, you little brat? I will tear you into a thousand pieces for killing my son!” Glenn’s forehead bulged with anger, his veins throbbing.

Alex rolled his eyes and looked at Glenn as if he was a fool. “Are you an idiot? One will think that you’re smart after living so many years, and you know very well that I can’t outrun you with my third-phase Master Realm power.

Glenn was infuriated by Alex’s words. In the past, everyone had always been respectful of him because of his position as an elder in the sect.

He was absolutely p*ssed off now that Alex had called him an idiot.

“Die!” Glenn let out an angry yell and charged toward Alex. His overwhelming aura signified his determination to kill him.

Before Alex could relax from dodging Glenn’s attack, he was struck with a punch to the chest.

The powerful internal energy sent Alex flying again, breaking several trees before he finally crashed down. The moment he landed on the ground, he coughed up a mouthful of blood.

The punch had ruptured his organs. Despite struggling to get up, Alex had no intention of backing down because he didn’t know if the rescue team had successfully rescued everyone in the room.

After all, there were over a hundred survivors in the room, and it would surely take quite a bit of time for them to leave.

Alex had to hold off Glenn and delay as much time as possible no matter what to allow the successful retreat of everyone. He would be lucky enough if he could survive by then.

Glenn was about to charge at him again when he quickly said, “Hold on for a while, Sir. I think there may be some misunderstandings between us!”

In order to stop Glenn this time, Alex refrained from calling him bad names and instead addressed him respectfully as “Sir.”

Glenn didn’t know what Alex was up to now that he was on the verge of death, but he stopped in his tracks

because he was confident that Alex wouldn’t be able to escape from him no matter what tricks he attempted.
